Lovely Pub, been going in now and again for years . Only went in because the restaurant next door has no alcohol policy. Interior very wooden with nooks and crannies, outdoor smokers area too but the staff as usual were pig ignorant . Extreme egos and feel to good to even converse . So arrogant , unbelievable from the short... More

Visited on Sunday Eve' and it was the regular Music Night - great atmosphere, very friendly and a massive selection of Real Ale which is good value and kept in 1st Class condition. The staff are very attentive and quick / efficient. Proper traditional pub that I always go to when visiting family in Nottingham. Plenty of rooms where you... More

I won't hear a bad word about the Lincolnshire Poacher. The staff are welcoming, there are over 70 whiskies to choose from (for the other half), the house white is excellent (and not expensive) and even the food is good. We are lucky to live so near to it. If you love real ales, whiskey or wine give it a... More

Although not a beer drinker myself, my OH and his friends are, that is why whenever visiting Nottingham this becomes his watering hole and where we meet. They love the real ales and the olde word atmosphere. The food is also good pub grub. The pub is also central for some decent restaurants.

We visited this pub whilst following Nottingham's Architecture Ale Trail and it is great. We visited on a Wednesday night when there was live music on and it was packed. A lovely atmosphere with friendly staff and a good selection of beers. We had the Rabbit Pie which was served with mash and vegetables and as it was a Wednesday... More
