Saw this on tripadvisor I was looking for a local pub near where I was staying so thought I would have a walk over to it. Not my usual sort of pub but I must say it was much better than I expected when I...walked in. Beers are fairly standard the decor is decent but the people are great which makes this a good pub in my viewMore
This pub was very near our B&B. I wanted to drink a "pint" at an actual, English, pub. Began talking to a very nice lady that was playing pool. Her pool partner joined us shortly therafter. Turns out the lady (Helen) owned the place and...the guy with her (Brendan) was her boyfriend, and he operated the food truck outside during the day. Went out of their way giving us info, gave us ice, aluminum foil, and our drinks were on the house. Just can't stress enough how nice the owners and patrons were at this establishment. Will definitely return.More
Popped in on the way to see friends and ended up staying until last orders. Great atmosphere with great people. Everyone was friendly and when I first arrived there was a singer on who was very good. Even had a go at sticky thirteens (...didn’t win ) but the landlady was very funny and made the experience very good. The staff were also very friendly and kept things running smoothly. I’d recommend a visit and if you’re a Guinness drinker like myself then it’s the best pint outside of the Guinness brewery in my opinion. Thank you HeadstocksMore
Won't be eating or drinking there again.
If the owners and management of the headstocks let customers have their dogs lay full length on the table top without saying anything, what goes on in the background.
They do the best breakfast in Nottingham worth trying once grantee your be back for more staff are welcoming and friendly also put on entertainment and can accommodate party’s i go weekly with a friendship group great traditional pub
Saturday afternoon 13/1/18 for the half five kick between Forest & Villa on SkyTV, must admit not my choice of pub, my mates, it was packed solid with youth & blokes some in work clothes, a proper local, quite happy that I recognized a few...lads I knew, the Theakstones bitter was very good, even the dark one my mate brought me by mistake good atmosphere, pity Forest did not! After the football was a DJ spinning some classic Northern Soul, I would have no problems going again.More
Typical local-as in-full of the type of clowns you would cross the street to avoid.sitting between Bulwell and Basford you can imagine the braintrust of clients it entertains...two things that mark it out as somewhere to avoid-Sky sports/family friendly...after a few sojurns there myself,i now...know why-even though I only live 5 minutes walk away-I`ve avoided it all these years,More
The staff are the best,we have regular meetings here, and are provided with tea/coffee at very good rates? Most of the members also have a lunch, and for the price are very good!
The only problem I find with the pub are the toilets ,though clean are...not in a good state of repair, hence my rating!More
