Have been back twice now just for this salad. The menu has improved massively recently, with a lot more variation. Everything is very well priced too. Very happy this is soon to be our local.

I had a wedding reception at this venue in May 2018. We also had the evening celebration here. The food was outstanding and the staff led by Shereen were brilliant.

Love having a walk to this pub from the centre as we know there’s a nice seating area outside. Already visited a few times this year and love the Mango Cider! Hopefully it stays around.

Hi Rebekah, Thanks for the review! The mango cider is a favourite here so it won't be going anywhere any time soon! Cheers, Team Embankment

An impromptu choice as we wanted to eat out but unsure where. Service was spot on and food delicious. 2 courses for £12.95 was a bargain as portion sizes were large. We both had the pork belly which was cooked to perfection with proper crackling...More

The staff were very helpful and friendly and really accommodating. They really went above and beyond to look after us with little things. Drinks were nice. Good beer garden. Thanks again to the staff.

Great pub and very busy on match days, good outside seating area and friendly staff (including the doorman). For real ale fans there is a large choice from a number of main and independent brewers. Clean and tidy everywhere.

Whilst its a little way out of the town centre this venue is well worth the walk. There are a large number of cask ales and craft beers to choose from (which include porter and stouts) and the ones we tried were really well kept....More

Description
The Embankment, a Grade II listed building, was designed by Albert Nelson Bromley, the architect behind some of the most distinctive Boots pharmacy buildings, and opened in 1907 as ‘Boots Store 2’. In 1919 the Boots Social Club was formed on the same site, created by Jesse Boot as a place of recreation for his staff. The social club was so popular it soon expanded throughout the building and, following the closure of Boots Store 2 in 1979, took over the whole site. Located on the city side of Trent Bridge, the pub is ideally located for sporting fans visiting both Nottingham football grounds and of course Trent Bridge cricket ground. Castle Rock took over operations of the Embankment in June 2015, and restored the building to create an excellent community pub. The Embankment is Castle Rock’s biggest site, set over three floors. On the ground floor you’ll find a main bar in the hub of the building, the Arkwright Room – ideal for dining, and the Conservatory. The former Boots Store 2 now houses The Dispensary, a real ale and craft beer bar with a nod to the medicinal history of the site. The Dispensary hosts ten craft beers at any one time, along with a great range of real ales both local and national. A new beer garden is now open and great for catching some rays while you have a pint or a bite to eat. Upstairs, Jesse Boot’s office remains as it always has; a beautiful wood-clad room with a gallery view of the main bar and stained glass windows, ideal for corporate meetings and intimate functions. The Lord Trent Room, the former social area of the Embankment, is a stunning function room with double height ceilings, elegant arches and a central dance floor. Please call the pub and speak to the event organiser Debbie, to discuss hiring out either of these spaces. On the bars you will of course find Castle Rock real ales and LocAles, craft beers, premium lagers and spirits, wines and locally roasted coffee.
