We stumbled across this place a couple of years ago as you can book online, which is always a benefit. They do a great Sunday roast, with the meats changing each week. On this occasion, I had a particularly nice cinnamon rice pudding for dessert with some baked apples. To be recommended!

A very enjoyable dinner, bed and breakfast. Very friendly staff and the food was delicious. Nice bedroom - perhaps the bathroom was on the small side. A bit noisy perhaps but as per a previous reviewer but most of the noise stopped when the bar closed so is not a problem and, judging from the singing in the kitchen, they... More

My friend has some food allergies and they could not have been more helpful so we both enjoyed delectable food in a cosy, friendly atmosphere.

The room was clean and pleasant. The staff were freindly and gave good service. Breakfats was very good indeed as was the evening meal. Definetely rather better than normal pub food. The only downside was the noise from outside which woke us early in the morning both nights. It sounded like they were changing the barrels. The noise from the... More

Spent an hour in this pub one Sunday afternoon recently, we only ordered snacks from the bar as they were about to close for food (5pm). The cheese platter was really nice, good beer and a nice atmosphere, the sort of pub that you wish was your 'local'

We decided last minute to stop for Sunday lunch on the way through the town and happened upon this gorgeous little pub just off the main thoroughfare. Luckily they squeezed us in within 20mins and by the end of the meal we were absolutely delighted that we had chosen this place. They have a small but excellent choice of food... More

I took my Grandma here for her 76th Birthday for a Sunday Roast dinner and they didn't disappoint, the food was divine, we ordered the beef, which they happily cooked to medium instead of rare for us which was nice, the yorkshire puddings were fab, lovely gravy and potatoes, a really good roast. The fire was going which was also... More

Came by chance as it was a Sunday just after 8 and many places were shut! They had just stopped serving but the barman was more than happy to keep the chefs a little longer in order to cater for us! The food was delicious. We had scotch egg, salmon and a burger. All very nice pub food but more... More
