Very Nice pub and restaurant ! Nothing to complain about. The atmosphere, the drinks, the food and the staff, everything is perfect.

Went to this quaint little pub for a birthday lunch with family having booked a couple of weeks in advance for a party of 11, making very clear that 5 were children. Arriving on time, we were shown to our table (two at a right angle pushed together) and given some menus. Having ordered, we waited for our food to... More

The four of us wanted to spend New Year's Eve in a traditional country pub and The Falkland Arms was a great choice. It's set in glorious Oxfordshire countryside which means there are terrific walks pretty much on the doorstep. If you are looking for a wonderfully traditional pub with great beers and excellent food then look no further. We... More

Quality of the food matches the establishment. Traditional menu with contemporary touch and finish. Very good. Staff very friendly.

This was lovely, the inside looked original and there was a welcome open fire. We both had a salad, lovely and fresh and original I had smoked salmon, crayfish and avocado and my husband had mackerel and beetroot. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

We had not been to eat at the Falkland Arms for 12 years but managed to get back there for a special Sunday lunch to celebrate both of our birthdays. Polite, courteous, warm-hearted, friendly staff, atmospheric seating and eating area feeling more akin to the inside of an oak ship, cozy without being claustrophobic. Good food, very tasty and good... More

I came here for dinner with friends and had a nice experience. The pub's atmosphere is very cozy and quaint. The fire was going, it was a busy night, and the decor is fantastic. The mugs hanging from the low ceiling was a nice touch. The food was decent but not anything to write home about. I had the vegetable... More

We ate here, while staying at the Falkland Arms, but would have been willing to come just for the food. Selections were fresh and changed nightly. The sticky toffee pudding alone was worth the trip to England! It also had a decent wine list.

We arrived and were greeted by a lovely man who showed us to our table. The food was lovely, no faults at all. After we have finished eating we had a conversation with the land lady who had been our waitress for the evening. She was extremely welcomming & friendly. Will certainly be back very soon!

Had excellent meals here in the past when staying in nearby holiday cottage but just had a very disappointing meal (there were other negative reviews in our guest book). Service was great but the food was poor and was over priced for the quality. Won't be back.
