This was lovely, the inside looked original and there was a welcome open fire. We both had a salad, lovely and fresh and original I had smoked salmon, crayfish and avocado and my husband had mackerel and beetroot. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

We had not been to eat at the Falkland Arms for 12 years but managed to get back there for a special Sunday lunch to celebrate both of our birthdays. Polite, courteous, warm-hearted, friendly staff, atmospheric seating and eating area feeling more akin to the inside of an oak ship, cozy without being claustrophobic. Good food, very tasty and good... More

I came here for dinner with friends and had a nice experience. The pub's atmosphere is very cozy and quaint. The fire was going, it was a busy night, and the decor is fantastic. The mugs hanging from the low ceiling was a nice touch. The food was decent but not anything to write home about. I had the vegetable... More

We ate here, while staying at the Falkland Arms, but would have been willing to come just for the food. Selections were fresh and changed nightly. The sticky toffee pudding alone was worth the trip to England! It also had a decent wine list.

We arrived and were greeted by a lovely man who showed us to our table. The food was lovely, no faults at all. After we have finished eating we had a conversation with the land lady who had been our waitress for the evening. She was extremely welcomming & friendly. Will certainly be back very soon!

Had excellent meals here in the past when staying in nearby holiday cottage but just had a very disappointing meal (there were other negative reviews in our guest book). Service was great but the food was poor and was over priced for the quality. Won't be back.

Worth booking on weekends as the pub is small. Also book a table away from fire as can get a bit smokey. The mushroom risotto was very nice but the creme brulee could have been firmer. A small but good selection of wines and a good selection on food menu.

We parked our car and did a walk from the pub around the local countryside as mentioned on the website. We did ask at the bar for directions but nobody knew of any walks, however we managed to find our way easily to the next village and back. Enjoyed a great lunch afterwards at the pub which has plenty of... More

We came to the Falkland Arms with English friends who recommended it as the perfect English Pub. They were spot on. It is so charming I never wanted to leave. The food and ale were delicious and the atmosphere needs nothing added. It is situated in a charming village of English limestone and thatched cottages and you will think you... More

Recent glowing reviews gave us hope for a good lunch. We were staying at a holiday cottage nearby. On entering and asking about lunch we were directed to two benches with stools. As others have said how are customers supposed to eat at these cramped spots. The room next to the bar had a proper dining table free. Why were... More
