Travelled from Yorkshire to spend a week in the cotswolds with 12 friends. Booked a meal with Wild Thyme and was delighted with the quality of food supplied. We wouldn't hesitate to order another takeaway meal if in the area again.

My wife and I have been regulars at Wild Thyme for many years and when Covid hit we assumed it would be a while before we went back. We noticed they were doing take out meals but assumed they could never match the quality of...the in house dining we were used to. How wrong could we be!! We decided to give it a go and collected our first take home meal tonight and it was incredible, neither of us could believe how good the food was. We left it far too long and regret not doing it sooner. The food was superb and the instructions on how to prepare simple and easy, can’t wait to do it againMore

We have just enjoyed two superb three course evening meals delivered straight to our front door. Both have been completely different well balanced excellent quality meals. The instructions have been so simple to follow and the results delicious and the timings have allowed for to...have a drink while the starter is in the oven and then enjoy that while the main is warming so we had a really smooth evening. We have been really impressed and thoroughly enjoyed our food thank you.More

Thanks to Wild Thyme for an amazing Saturday night takeaway. The food was exquisite, highly recommend. A great example of a business successfully adapting through the pandemic. Truly scrumptious, till next time 👌

We were somewhat disappointed with this restaurant after the reviews. I am coming to the conclusion that too many places are trying too hard to be different and in so doing are ruining good food. My husband said his rabbit tasted more like Tuna and...my duck was too rare and the skin not crisp. The crab tart was o.k. though, as was the chocolate pudding but the meringue ball was too hard and sweet. Not a good idea. The staff were o.k but the atmosphere was somewhat inhibited. So we didn't feel very comfortable, which was a pity as it was a birthday celebration.More

We were fortunate to be able to dine here on consecutive nights. Although it was very quiet on the first but very busy on the second, the service and atmosphere were first class. We had excellent starters whether it was the roasted scallops, cheese soufflé...or the venison fillet. The mains of turbot, duck or pork belly were presented extremely well and cooked to ‘a turn’ as the expression goes. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find room for deserts! This is definitely the place to eat in Chipping Norton.More

A real gem tucked away just off the main square Imaginative menu with a selection of game options. Cauliflower soup and scallop starters were delicious followed by duck and venison main courses cooked to perfection. All of the flavours for all the dishes were subtle...and the portions exactly the right size Deserts were equally good and meant for sharing Do make a detour if necessary as well worth the visitMore

Our first visit to Wild Thyme on a Saturday lunchtime. We enjoyed excellent food. There was an option of a set menu and another, more expensive, set menu with about five choices per course. All five dishes that we chose between the two of us...were really good. In fact, the best food we have enjoyed locally. The only downside, and the reason for not giving 5 stars, was the lack of staff. Hopefully it was a one off but, bar a ten minute spell, there was just one waitress who had to deal with 15 covers, taking orders, delivering food, clearing tables, delivering drinks, answering the phone and dealing with walk ins. If it wasn't the fact that she was so efficient and positive, it would have been an issue. We will return on the basis of the food and hopefully they will be better resourced.More

Lucky for this sleepy Cotswold Town that it has such a good restaurant. It is worth spending the evening in Chipping Norton just for eating there. It has a nice cosy setting and the staff are lovely. The chef is the husband of one of...the serving girls, and he is a talented chef. The food is imaginative and presented well. The cooking shows flair that would not be out place in London's restaurant scene. And it was very tasty.More

Thank you for your interest in Wild Thyme. We vary our menu and have steak on from time to time. It is not currently on our winter menu with venison offered as the red meat option. Regards
