Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a lovely lunch with a large group of friends. We all had roasts including the veggie option which was really tasty too. Service was great with a nice atmosphere. Some great wines & good beers too. Definitely recommend here for a Sunday lunch....Also must mention the crumble, loved it. We’ll go again soon.More

Very disappointing. Well named the Tite Inn. Beer at £5.50 a pint is at least a pound dearer than most local pubs. My peppered squid were O K but the portion was tiny about 3 mouthfuls ! Iwon't be retuning and neither will my friends...be comigMore

We called in here for a light lunch after visiting Didley Squat Farm shop. The pub is linked with the nearby Chadlington brewery, so I tried a pint of their I.P.A. which was a very tasty, hoppy beer. We had some squid rings with a...gremolata coating, scampi and fries with an especially tangy tartare sauce and creamy garlic mushrooms on toast with aged parmesan. All these dishes were very tasty and the perfect size for a wee bite of lunch.More

Very poor Sunday lunch, over cooked, too much oil, dry, expensive. Couldn’t cut in to the potato’s, carrots and parsnip black.

On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff at the bar and chef sitting with some locals. Decor looked cosy and tidy but where we were seated considering the restaurant side was empty, it wasn’t appropriate. Some of the locals were rowdy and swearing a...lot so not the scene of a couples dinner. Food came out very quickly which was good but presentation was poor. Almost seemed like the chef was hacked off he had to cook so just plonked it on a plate. There was more rocket on my dish than there was steak. Really poor food that you would expect at a much cheaper venue. Really not impressed. Filet of steak expected at the price they charged. Student cooking. Edible but not what you serve in a supposedly established country pub/restaurant. Spoilt a birthday meal out for my partner. If the food was better, this place would be awesome as it looks great.More

Not impressed with the lunchtime menu. £16 for ham egg & chips is ridiculous. I ordered a starter instead at £12.00 which was giant prawns in curry sauce. Some people might really enjoy curry sauce with prawns but it's not my personal taste. I ordered...without but asked if l could have garlic butter to which the answer was no. In fairness the prawns were giant and reasonable value. Staff are pleasant enough but just do their job no real interaction. We went to the pub 3 years ago pre-covid and had a wonderful lunchtime meal, so thought we we try again as we were passing by. Very disappointedMore

We visited on the evening whilst staying at the near-by campsite. The pub is in a lovely setting and is well maintained. Staff were welcoming, polite and helpful. The pub offers it's own beers and a choice of food, which was cooked really well. Minor...criticism is that the prices are on the slightly heavy side, but then everything is these days, and you are paying for location and convenience.More

The food and service were both impeccable. The staff made sure we had everything we needed as soon as we walked in, they helped us select food items from the menu and generally made us feel welcome. We were able to relax, laugh and spend...time together as a family while enjoying delicious food and a comforting atmosphere. I highly recommend this pub/restaurant to anyone looking for somewhere in the area!More

Superb Sunday lunch in fabulous surroundings. We ate inside but I would like to have eaten outside as tables and canopy looked great. Really generous portions - we had roast beef and roast pork with accompanying cauliflower cheese at no extra cost. Desserts were great...also.More

Haven’t been in the Cotswolds for a while , what a lovely surprise this pub was. I think they are associated with a local brewery, I sample the pale ale which I thoroughly enjoyed and then moved into the fish and chips. Wonderful food and...brilliant drinks. The staff seemed very friendly, the outside seating was stunning and an overall lovely experience !!!More

Beautiful venue and environment but staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming today. As if we were an inconvenience. Food overpriced and glad we arrived before the kitchen was even open.

We have been visiting this pub on and off for 10 years. Unfortunately during our recent visit, the food was nothing more than ‘okay’. We ate it, but found it very bland. £18 for an extremely average burger is extortionate. Take your money to the...Cotswold Guy for an exceptional burger at a cheaper price. Staff were friendly and it’s a fantastic place for children. But save your money and just go for a drink in the sun! Very very average. But have rated poor because of pricing. Ingredients were as basic as they could be and tasted cheap - such a shame. You can’t charge those prices for such a basic meal.More

Very disappointed - three of us went and requested 3 fish and chips with one gluten free as my friend is a coeliac and it was marked on the menu as being available, to be told that they’d been very busy and couldn’t guarantee there...wouldn’t be cross contamination. if it’s marked on a menu as being available as a GF option, this isn’t acceptable - coeliac disease is a medical contain, not a choice. This ‘risk of cross contamination’ affected many other dishes including everything with fries/chips. I asked the waitress to ask the chef what he was available for my friend who is also vegetarian. She returned recommending chicken liver parfait on gluten free toast! I pointed out that this isn’t vegetarian and asked to see a manager. She eventually spoke to the chef and my friend was offered a Caesar salad or a halloumi burger with mushrooms (minus the fries due the risk of cross contamination). She ordered the latter and although all of the food was fine, this wasn’t what we’d anticipated. She was still charged the full amount despite being minus the fries and there was no apology whatsoever, just a continued reference to the fact that they’d been very busy so couldn’t guarantee there wouldn’t be a risk of cross- contamination. Very frustrating and not good enough - I’d have expected a much better understanding and ability to cater for a coeliac,More
