21 members of the Witney U3A walking group had lunch at the plough following a 7 mile walk around the local countryside. We were able to pre order at the start of the walk, The 2 for 1 special on the day was freshly cooked fish & chips, which most of us had. Very good comments all round on quality... More

A group of us did a circular walk starting and finishing at the pub. Most of us ordered the fish and chip meal which is on a 2 for 1 offer on Tuesdays. It did of course take a while to serve 18 fish and chip meals, but the landlord explained that this would be the case and nobody minded... More

Had lunch at this beautiful pub on Saturday. It serves the best fish finger sandwich I have ever eaten! The landlord was so friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere great. We did our 5 mile walk and came back to the pub for a coffee by the log fire. Highly recommended!

A party of six came here for Sunday lunch. Went we eventually got our food it was delicious. I ordered the lamb which takes longer to cook to order but we waited quite a while for our order to be taken. Not a problem on this occasion as we had lots to talk about and lots to drink. Pub was... More

We came here for a roast dinner following my partners experience just before Christmas. The food was superb and could not be faulted, the beef just fell apart in your mouth, however the bar and waiting staff were a let down for me. We weren't made to feel particularly welcomed as we were not even acknowledged by staff as we... More

Absolutely wonderful dinner on Saturday night. Lovely atmosphere and Joy really was a joy to be served by. Great fish dish and a home made burger. We really had a good time in the Plough. The Steak Night is particularly good.
