The queue is there for a reason. I didn’t think I liked ramen but that was because I didn’t know ramen kulture. Teriyaki duck ramen is superb!

Looking for something a little different on a day trip to Oxford, we came across this place. Little it was, with a small queue outside, but after a short wait we were seated at a couple of bar stools in a cosy, yet welcoming space....We both had the Tonkotsu Ramen , with a side order of Octopus Balls. The Ramen had a deep and rich broth, with plenty of pork. In hindsight would probably have gone for the spicy version, but very good none the less. Service was friendly and despite the constant queues outside we never felt rushed to release our seats. Well worth a visitMore
Absolutely wonderful experience - authentic Japanese interior, music, and kitchen. The food is fantastic, and the menu is perfect - not too broad, nor is it too limited. Staff is welcoming and friendly, the service is very quick and precise. Prices are very reasonable considering...the quality of food and service.More
Great, comforting ramen soup chokeful of ingredients. The pork was really tasty with a slight char, though I'm not sure why they put pickled radish strips in it. Came just after they opened and they were almost full - testimony to their good food at...reasonable prices.More
Visited this place recently after hearing a lot of good reviews from friends who have been. First of all, for sure this is one of the "best" ramen shop in Oxford. However, this is with the caveat that there are limited options for authentic Japanese...ramen shop in the area. I had the chicken Karaage and tonkotsu ramen + extra side ramen to enjoy the broth. The chicken karaage was good. It was slightly lacking in ginger flavour and crispy coating. I understand karaage is not supposed to be very crispy, but I believe they are meant to be crispier than what I was served, which was very moist and spongy. It could be that they were left standing for awhile or I had bad luck with the quality of the chicken. The tonkotsu ramen was nice and palatable, the noodle was fine, more soft than chewy and springy, which some people may prefer, the beansprout and mushroom were nice additions however, I would not describe it as excellent nor authentic. While authenticity is overrated, I do think with the name of the shop, the broth could be more authentic than what I was served on the day. After all, the highlight of a good bowl of tonkotsu ramen is in the broth itself. The char siu and egg complimented the dish nicely, although they could have deeper flavour as well. The portion was generous. In terms of the service, I was seated promptly, as I was visiting solo, and service was quick, adequate and staff interaction was minimal. Overall, I enjoyed my visit at the Ramen Kulture. For the price and being in Oxford, I consider this place to be "above" average but "under" very good. I would not specifically go back there again nor would I refuse to go if there is no other option.More
Waited a bit outside for space as quite a small venue. Seats are limited and with a maximised stools/counter layout atmosphere decor aren’t designed to be a comfy-hang-around-after-eating dining experience. Excellent if this is exactly what you want…a quick in out and just fill your...belly with comforting food. (-1 for me as hoped and prefer to eat with a relaxed intention.More
Whenever we have previously walked past there have always been queues, so we went a little earlier and walked straight in. You are sat quite close to other diners due to the "snug layout". But this sort of added to the cosy feel and took...nothing away from a great place to eat. Service was friendly, prompt. Food authentic and tasty. When we left there was a long queue and it is easy to see why this little restaurant is so popular.More
Nice and cozy. The food is amazing and the prices are not high. The only flaw is the long queue, but it's worth it. Recommended.
I like the food, in particular Chicken Katsu Curry. The crew is very polite and efficient. I like the atmosphere also, is small place but cozy.
The food meet the basic standard of Japanese Ramen, but the staff is the most RUDE one I’ve ever met, she clear treats the guests differently. 1⃣️When I finished the Ramen, she whisked my bowl and bang the bill on my table, while I was...going to say ご馳走様でした, but I was shocked. 2⃣️The waitress warmly said to all the guests sitting next to me and thanks them for their coming and say “have a good day”. But she wouldn't say a word to me and she wouldn't even look at me. 3⃣️When my Japanese boyfriend and I had ramen in London or other cities, we usually say ご馳走様でしたto the ラーメン屋さんafter our meal and they usually feel happy and warmly talk to us, and then we will say ありがとうございました to each other. My boyfriend told me this is a normal procedure for eating at a ramen restaurant. I said ご馳走様でしたto the waiters, and he ask me “are you Japanese?” I said “no”, and he replied: “yeah I thought you weren’t Japanese.” ‼️So what’s your problem? If you have someone with a particular preference for serving, or someone with a particular preference for not serving, please post it at the door. I can't imagine meeting such RUDE and IGNORANT people at Oxford.More
Nicely located near the Ashmolean, and on the small side, this place has very good food and cool drinks in weird bottles.
This restaurant refused access to a blind person with a guide dog. DONT GIVE THEM YOUR CUSTOM. Your fault if your staff dont know the law
The best ramen we've ever had. Try the pork one, it's delicious. We could eat it everyday, it's delicious and all the ingredients are perfect.
I came here most recently with the other half and it was, as usual, spot on. Fast, kind service and everything on the menu is gorgeous. My kids love this place more than anything and they're always made to feel welcome. Whether for a quick...lunch, cosy supper or family meal, Ramen Kitchen gets a full 5* from us every timeMore
I have eaten in and had delivery from here several times and it has got to be some of the best ramen I have ever had in the UK. The only shame is that the inside is quite small so you have to wait for...a seat if it is busy as no booking is available! I tend to get the spicy tonkotsu ramen, the broth is rich and tasty, and the pork is always very tender and flaky. I would recommend the sides too (especially the Ebi Katsu)More
