Our university art course had a field trip in Oxford, and after visiting a couple of museums, we had some free time to wander around, get food, etc. Me and my friend found this gem while on the way to Ashmolean after lunch, and decided to come back later in for dinner. It was one of our best decisions ever.
First of all, the atmosphere was fabulous: vintage looking like pictures and posters as wallpaper, japanese background music, rustic tables. One of the owners was our server, and needless to say, her service, and her co-owner's was of high league. Me and my friend ordered 2 bowls of spicy tonkotsu ramen with a portion of gyoza, and some drinks. We got a complementary portion of gyoza after one piece fell to the ground, a gesture, which owner did on his own initiative.
As for the ramen, it was truly a heavenly one: the pork slices were beautifully cooked, the fat melted in my mouth, the meat was packed with flavour. The same thing can be said for the broth, it had a body to it, with just the right amount of spicyness, so it complemented the whole experience.
The gyoza was crispy, flavourful, and we even got a bit of side salad next to it. After chatting with the owners, they said they worked in the food business in Japan for quite a few years, and without a doubt, that experience was tasteable in the meal we had.
I would give 6 stars, if I could. Lovely owners/staff, perfect food with good prices and portions. Keep up the good work folks!

The meal is authentic, excellent flavours, an exquisite presentation with delightful colours held in a rustic bowl. Chefs are clearly comfortable in the kitchen. Cleanly, well-spaced and warm it presents an excellent location in Oxford to truly enjoy the food as it is only slightly away from the business of the town. A manager/owner was engaging, polite, professional and we felt the service was just right. Not over the top, not too little - and to top it off the dishes are well priced. We could relax and enjoy our food. Overall an excellent experience and top-rated ramen kitchen/place to eat in Oxford! Highly recommend.

I picked this place as it only served ramen and curry when all other Japanese restaurants in Oxford offer half a million food options (there's no way you can do everything right if you offer sushi, ramen, skewers etc). I thought these guys must be good if they only offer 15 dishes altogether and survive!
Hands down the best ramen this side of Japan! All the dishes arrived in two containers, with the broth or sauce separated from the other ingredients so they wouldn't get soggy. The pork was heavenly and I did slurp some the broth on its own - deliciously flavourful and light. We also had the vegetarian ramen and it was equally delicious.
We loved our meal to bits and cannot fault it in any way, at about £11 a head. Usually when you get takeaway, the food suffers quite a bit but this was absolutely scrumptious.
We will come visit in person as soon as possible!

Had a date night here last night and can quite honestly say the food was phenomenal. Ordered Edamame Beans, Kara-age chicken and Chicken Gyoza starters along with Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen while my partner tried the Tantan Beef. All of it was very tasty and arrived quickly. Will be returning ASAP for sure.

Extremely fast service, food was piping hot an absolutely delicious. Ordered pumpkin katsu and edamame spring rolls, and enjoyed both immensely. Tiny little restaurant but well worth a visit :)

This is easily the best ramen I have had in the UK. Everything about the place screams authenticity from the menu to the music to the decor.
I had the tonkotsu ramen. The broth was full of flavour and yet so clean and light. The pork was tender and fell apart. The accompanying garnish of sweet corn, shallots & pickled ginger all worked perfectly.
I will 100% be back & if you are visiting oxford or you live here I would strongly recommend a visit!
Thank you ramen kulture for an amazing lunch.

A lovely lunch. It felt expensive at the time, but was actually pretty good value considering how long it kept me full. There were an excellent variety of flavours in the bowl and everything was well prepared, though it wasn't particularly spicy despite paying a premium for that. I look forward to being able to dine in.

The food meet the basic standard of Japanese Ramen, but the staff is the most RUDE one I’ve ever met, she clear treats the guests differently.
1⃣️When I finished the Ramen, she whisked my bowl and bang the bill on my table, while I was going to say ご馳走様でした, but I was shocked. 2⃣️The waitress warmly said to all the guests sitting next to me and thanks them for their coming and say “have a good day”. But she wouldn't say a word to me and she wouldn't even look at me. 3⃣️When my Japanese boyfriend and I had ramen in London or other cities, we usually say ご馳走様でしたto the ラーメン屋さんafter our meal and they usually feel happy and warmly talk to us, and then we will say ありがとうございました to each other. My boyfriend told me this is a normal procedure for eating at a ramen restaurant. I said ご馳走様でしたto the waiters, and he ask me “are you Japanese?” I said “no”, and he replied: “yeah I thought you weren’t Japanese.”
‼️So what’s your problem? If you have someone with a particular preference for serving, or someone with a particular preference for not serving, please post it at the door. I can't imagine meeting such RUDE and IGNORANT people at Oxford.

Small, not looking to do anything, other than serve very good ramen. I had the Tantan Beef Ramen, and asked what they mean by spicy, and the lady said medium. I would tend to say medium and a touch less spicy, as opposed to the other way round. The food looked, and tasted absolutely fantastic, and I was very impressed. If you like Ramen, and are in Oxford, this is a must visit location. All Covid stuff well observed, and the food was not too quick, which was reassuring, and not too long, which was appreciated, as I was starving!

this restaurant is easily one of our favourite Japanese places! we ordered ramen, curry, fried chicken and octopus. the lightness and authenticity of the food was so pleasantly refreshing, but also the atmosphere of the restaurant as a whole. the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. we will definitely come back here!

I came here most recently with the other half and it was, as usual, spot on. Fast, kind service and everything on the menu is gorgeous. My kids love this place more than anything and they're always made to feel welcome. Whether for a quick lunch, cosy supper or family meal, Ramen Kitchen gets a full 5* from us every time

If you are looking for a perfect ramen which you have eaten in Japan or want to try for the first time, then this restaurant definitely gives a perfect opportunity for trying it. All the ingredients are providing an excellent mix of different flavours, and the seasoned meat is astonishing. Definitely deserves a five star rating.

This place is small only around 20 covers mostly at stools along bars. We had been here before when it was "Not Just Food" so was surprised to see the new name and revised interior, but we had the same excellent server as previously who explained the Ramen offering and we were seated next to a chap who'd just returned from a spell in Japan who vouched for its quality and authenticity. We both ordered ramen options and were delighted with our choices, delicious rich broth, ultra-tender meat, filling noodles, unlike anything I'd eaten before. A truly different dining experience for Oxford that we'll repeat soon.

Visited on a cold wet Wednesday lunchtime and was blown away by how good the spicy Tonkotsu ramen was. Fantastic tasty broth and the pork just fell apart. Will definitely return.

I have eaten in and had delivery from here several times and it has got to be some of the best ramen I have ever had in the UK. The only shame is that the inside is quite small so you have to wait for a seat if it is busy as no booking is available!
I tend to get the spicy tonkotsu ramen, the broth is rich and tasty, and the pork is always very tender and flaky. I would recommend the sides too (especially the Ebi Katsu)
