When I visited The Art Café with my dog, Oak, we were seated in the outside seating area which is dog-friendly. The atmosphere was relaxed and laid-back, with plenty of space for Oak to stretch out and enjoy the sunshine. The Art Café is so named because it features a range of local artists’ work on the walls inside the café. You’ll find a variety of styles and mediums on display, from paintings to photographs. All the art is available for purchase, so it’s a great opportunity to take home a unique piece of Oxford for yourself or as a gift. The food at The Art Café is definitely worth a mention too. The menu offers a range of sandwiches, salads, and hot meals, all made with fresh and locally sourced ingredients. I tried a raisin croissant, which was delicious, and chai latte which had an arty pattern on it. 87x Oak enjoyed the attention from the other customers, one of whom had a chicken panni, which Oak wanted to share. This was an amazing spot with some down falls one there was no toilet and two nothing for my dog to drink but other than that it was great so im giving it 4 starsMore

We always have a snack in this little cafe when we visit Oxford. There’s plenty of choice and the service is speedy. The food and drinks offer good value for money. There’s now an outside seating area which has increased the seating area. The toilet...facilities are very limited. Only one toilet in the basement area.More

We were only there for a sandwich but it was efficient pleasant service. The sandwich itself was just as advertised in the menu and filled a hole. The smoothie was excellent, I ordered another! Easy to order using their app. Maybe a little pricey but...that’s tourism for you.More

Lovely little cafe. You can get a cup of tea and a pastry for just under £5 which is ideal for breakfast. Nice and quiet at around 9am which is great for a quiet start to the day. It’s lovely to be able to chill...out upstairs. There’s also some local artist work which you can buy so I may get some of that next time I visit.More

Went here for breakfast after it was recommended to me by a friend. Was sorely disappointed! The hash browns were soggy, one rasher of tough bacon. The toast was probably the best thing! Was charged for 3 orange juices when I ordered 2 (which at...£4.75 each were definitely not worth it) and no refund given despite returning one of them. Not only this but the whole time we were eating there we pictures being hammered into the walls around us. Not relaxing at all! Go elsewhere for a decent breakfast…More

This is a Good place. It looks a little underwhelming at first sight, so I’ve always walked past before. Not any more! The best mocha. The best (warm) fruit scone ever - ever. Such lovely service. Excellent range of food catering for gluten allergy as well as vegetarian and vegan food as well as traditional breakfasts etc. Staff were really helpful and food was really good and very reasonably priced. Will definitely use again.

Loads of choice and great coffee. Had the full English and coffee. Hash browns were disappointing as they felt heavy with oil and not crispy at all. The rest of the breakfast was amazing, especially the sausages. It’s cute and quirky, but toilets are hard...to get to just beware for anybody who struggles with mobility. We went to this cafe on several occasions during a 4 day stay in Oxford for breakfast. The choice is impressive and the food was superb. Staff were very helpful and the location and setting is brilliant. Very good value for money.
