The restaurant looks beautiful from the outside and has an inviting interior. Initial impressions were good as it was busy (and had lots of Chinese guests which I took as a sign the food would be good) which was very encouraging on a Tuesday night....The initial drinks service was incredibly slow. I had to request drinks three times as we were well into our starters before they arrived. The servers ranged from unfriendly, to rude and seemed to give certain tables preferential treatment. The weak customer service made it a slightly uncomfortable experience and it was hard work getting more drinks, sauces, the table cleared etc. The food itself (and I eat in a lot of Chinese restaurants) ranged from below average or very poor. The barbecue ribs were fatty and disgusting in a horrible sauce and the crab and sweetcorn soup was scalding hot, bland and contained very little crab or sweetcorn. The rice was clumpy and overcooked and the sweet and sour pork really poor… huge clumps of fatty pork… I actually had to spit some of it out and left most of it. Very disappointing as had high hopes. We will not be returning and will be recommending that friends and family give it a miss.More
