Great quality classic fish and chips at a reasonable price. Fish cooked fresh to order, welcoming atmosphere and very friendly staff. Exactly as a chippy should be!
Nicest guy, fast service, great value, no bull. No frills chippy. Ask Kaz about his photography and get a conversation going.
I came here two years ago and it was really good with a lovely owner. Presumably it has changed hands during Covid lockdown and I didn't recognise the two guys running it. Now the food is very disappointing and there is no nice owner to...chat to. The chips were soggy and the fish wasn't crisp or tasty.More
3rd time I’ve been and never can fault it . beautiful fresh and delicious Reasonable price and warm welcome Thankyou
After becoming vegetarian I feared I’d never be able to enjoy a battered sausage and chips again, so I was over the moon when I found this place that does a whole host of vegetarian options! Including Linda McCartney battered sausages which are delicious! They...also offer other veggie options like shroom dogs and tofish (which I am a bit sceptical about myself so haven’t tried). The father and son that work there are so lovely, I look forward to post-COVID when I can have a longer chat with them when picking up my food. They always make you feel welcome, ask how things have been, remember who you are and your ‘regular order’ because I have been there so many times. It’s not the closest fish and chip shop but I would never go anywhere else for my fishy tea!More
Have seen a few reviews stating this is the best fish and chip shop in Oxford. Haven’t tried many others yet so can’t fully comment but in my opinion the bar isn’t that high off the ground. Portion size was indeed large and owner was...friendly as others have said. But my issue is this. While in there I watched another man, clearly a friend of the owner, remove his face mask and start tucking into a kebab on the same small counter where the food is served! Disgusting at the best of times. Worse with COVID. Good luck with NSF/EHO guysMore
Quality fish and chips - cheerful and friendly owners. Well worth the 10 min wait for freshly cooked fish.
This a small, friendly chip shop that dishes out great food at reasonable prices. Highly recommended.
I very rarely have Fish and Chips these days. However I was stuck for a fast dinner one evening last week and came across this place in Woodfarm which is situated in a row of shops. In fact I didn't see it at first as...it doesn't exactly stick out. The whole area looks like it has seen better days to be frank and I wasn't expecting much but I needed to eat. There was a bit of a wait for the food (bad point) as they had run out of chips! However, I can honestly say they were some of the best fish and chips I have ever had and the guys behind the counter were friendly, cheerful and appeared to be enjoying their job. Not the usual miserable takeaway owners we get all too often these days. Oh and the portions were huge. Not what I expected at all. A little gem and well worth the wait.More
I brought my children for a fish-and-chips treat. Kaz the owner was very welcoming and chatted with my children. The food was freshly cooked and tasty. While we ate, a whole stream of locals came and went and Kaz seemed to know them all, asking...after their families, etc. I take this as a very positive sign and we'll be back again before long.More
I strolled into this shop on a late Sunday night and was greeted by a wonderful set of brothers who took care and made me feel welcome.I ordered a Classic Fish and Chips and it was sensational with a side of mushy peas and after...a Battered Mars bar, i really enjoyed my food from here and will definitely be going again thanks to Amin and Huss for the brilliant service Will be coming back soon!More
Kazem has been serving for more than 30 years the best Fish and Chips in this nice small traditional neighborhood shop. I recommend it to all my foodie friends. Kazem likes photography and had an exhibit of his Shoo Customer portrait pictures in Oxford’s museum...of art. Worth your while!More
First of all, the staff pretend that they do not speak English.if, by any chance, one manages to communicate with them, they would not accept any other form of payment, except cash, until the customer is about to leave, then all of a sudden, their...ability to speak English, and to accept card payment form improves! Leaves one to wonder the degree of care that goes into food preparation at this establishment!More
This is the best chippy in Oxford for vegetarian and vegan options. lots to choose from including Tofish and chips as well as all the obvious favourites.
