We came here from a bit further away as we’d understood this to be the best Chinese in oxford. That’s a big claim and I must admit it was average. Service was slow. We waited a long while on a quiet evening for drinks and...no one asked if we wanted more drinks during our meal so they missed out on more money. The duck starter was good, dim sum average and the mains - sweet and sour chicken, boneless chicken and cashew (way too hot!) and mango chicken (greasy). We left disappointed unfortunately as it would’ve been great to have a new place to go to.More

The food was ok. I found the manger extremely aloof and he didn’t bother to say gooodnight to our family group , even though it was not busy. I’m sorry but common courtesy is very important to me.

A mix of Singapore, Malaysian, Cantonese and Szechuan food, all cooked with care. Simple non-oily, fresh tasty dishes and good value in Jericho close to pubs.

This restaurant has deteriorated lately and hence haven’t been there since. Once bought a takeaway after a meal there and they gave us the wrong order. It used to be very good before they changed to halal. I did gave a 5 star when they...newly opened years ago but never been since our last experience. Food wasn’t as good for the price we paid. I won’t even give them more than 2 star.More

Zheng provides menu choices for various parts of the Far East, which is special in itself. The food was excellent with fabulous flavours. Staff were prompt, courteous and attentive. This will be our first choice to return to when next in Oxford.

Small restaurant offering a variety of Asian cuisines. The mixed starter was good, if not spectacular. Including prawn toast, salt and pepper squid (battered), spring roll, satay chicken skewers and fried seaweed. The beef tok rendang was very good, the beef was tender and the...sauce with good coconut flavour and not too much chilli. The Malaysian chicken curry was good. The staff were friendly and attentive. Poor value for money; classic dish of beef rendang at £14.50 was awful - wrong cut of beef, not simmered or tender. Duck pancakes good; fried rice awful. A real mixed bag but overall not equal to the hype or prices charged

Absolutely amazing restaurant and so pleased we chose here. I’m normally a standard “sweet and sour” kind of person however they have some unusual choices on the menu and I decided to step outside of my comfort zone and I asked the waiter to select...something from the Chefs Choices. I ended up with crispy oat crust king prawn with chilli. I absolutely can’t explain the flavour except that it was unusual but in an exceptional way. It was delicious. My husband chose the godmothers chilli chicken and he loooooooved it (he normally hates Chinese food) The service was great too, everyone was very friendly and extremely helpful and we would absolutely return here if we are back in OxfordMore

Really poor. Ordered Singapore noodles and duck dumplings to takeaway. Over £20. Noodles were really bland. A pitiful amount of what appeared to be reconstituted frozen chicken strips and 2 prawns. More flavour in a pot noodle. Dumplings were ok but at £2 each (4...in portion), really not good value.More

Not sure why the negative reviews. Food was fresh,delicious and plentiful ( take the waiters advice and do not order too much)and not too expensive for this part of the world. Car Park within 5 mins walk and plenty of bars so a decent night...out can be had. Give this a try, you won't be disappointed, definately with the 30 min drive.More

Having booked over a week in advance to get a table , went on a Saturday evening with friends. Although the restaurant was full the attentive staff were always ready to help with advice. Very enjoyable food served promptly and efficiently. Will definitley return.

Absolute rubbish. Over £150 for a 2 bob Chinese with service just as poor to couple with it. Limited interest from staff and overall terrible
