surprised the score here is not higher. I visited on midweek early evening, the range of real was OK (4 pumps) and a great range of craft beer on tap. The food was excellent, great value (recommend the pie - more filling than it looks)....More

We popped in without a reservation and were made very welcome. We all had a roast dinner and enjoyed it enormously. Huge portions of meat, lots of vegetables, beautifully cooked. Great value for money. A nice selection of beers and wines too.

It's just a great pub to be at. Good, calm atmosphere and great food. Generally I'm not a fan of pub food in the UK but this place has been great each time I've been there.

Usually a decent selection of real ales and yummy snacks. Can get crowded at weekends. Interior decor v 1970s but has a cosy, unpretentious atmosphere. Side bar has Sky if you really can't keep away from it.More

The Dewdrop was sold on and freshened up a while back, but little of its old character has been lost. Lunched there with the family before Christmas - food offering very acceptable, and my son pronounced the burger excellent! Practically the only pub in Summertown,...More

Was never a fan in the past due to overpowering smell of fried food and huge TV showing football - both gone and much improved for it. Nice pub now with good selection of beers.

Description
The Dew Drop Inn is located one and a half miles north of Oxford City Centre in Summertown, quite central to the shops. This listed building dating back to the mid 1800's is a traditional looking pub with original features - such as the windows - and one part of it used to be a local school. From the outside it is deceptive as it looks small, yet it is a bit of a Tardis when you get inside, as it stretches right back. The pub offers a high quality, yet casual, comfortable dining experience, within a friendly welcoming atmosphere. We cater for everyone and have a good range of clientele from old ladies on their own to shoppers, locals and students. Food is served from a main menu with the Sunday roast being very popular. This is a two bar operation so we also show Sport on side of the pub and special events in the main bar. We have strong connections with Inspector Morse, with the writer Colin Dexter being a regular here and the Dew Drop is mentioned in most of his books. Tuesday night is Quiz Night at the Dew Drop - £1 to each to enter and the winning team (up to 6 people) gets the takings! Come and visit us soon!
