An excellent, meal , authentic Indian veggie food - not too hot for non-curry afficianados, but lots of flavour, lovingly cooked.
The Thursday Thali is delicious - highly recommend this classic Indian cuisine as it is packed full of flavour, not too spicy and a perfect winter warmer. Reasonably priced at £13.50 (including a soft drink) or £15 with an alcoholic beverage. The staff are very...friendly and the atmosphere is homely but fun. On visiting Reading for a graduation our daughter took us here where we had a family lunch. The food was Vegan and very good , i had a curry that was light and mild ideal for a lunchtime. My wife got more than she expected...when she ordered beans on toast and was very impressed with the variety and taste of the mix and the kids all enjoyed their various Vegan take on Burgers. A local favourite for years, I went to check out the new menu now that the Ethiopian kitchen has moved to its own premises. It was surprisingly good, extensive and fresh vegan menu with interesting choices, really well made. Walk out of the boring town...centre for 5 min and go somewhere genuinely unique.More
Very peaceful here at 11.30am. French music station and only the cacti in the window to keep me company. Reasonably priced coffee and they do a great alcohol - free beer. Staff always friendly but not obsequious. My friend had the fries from the new...menu and found them underwhelming. I had the 'spicy'salad but it wasn't hot enough for my taste.More

Didn't expect to see a purely Vegan and Vegetarian cafe in Reading and it's not a chain! Very tasty food and good ambience in the evening especially on a live music night.

Never been to Reading before, but found this little gem through Happy Cow. There’s a good variety of vegan food, most of which was available as gluten free. The food was cooked fresh and was really tasty (my husbands curry was particularly good!). There was...even gluten free vegan cake! It’s also very reasonably priced. The staff were lovely, very helpful and kindly refilled our water bottles for us. Would definitely come back next time we’re in Reading.More

I was really impressed with the vegan spicy bean wrap and chips I had for my lunch. A bundle of mouth watering flavours. Good portion and value for money. I have visited RISC on multiple occasions and am certainly never disappointed! The staff are always friendly and the new menu is excellent. Would highly recommend the halloumi burger 🍔

Global cafe delivered our delicious hot lunch to the Friends Meeting House for our lunch meeting, provided everything and even served us and washed up after for an exceptionally reasonable rate. We had chickpea and potato curry, dahl, rice, pakora and surprised us with lovely...Palestinian dates to finish. The service was amazing and we were delighted with the meal.More
