Location and contact

You will easily find The Spring Inn on the Bath Road just a few minutes drive from Junction 12 of the M4 and close to Reading, Theale and Pangbourne. We are far enough from all that hustle & bustle and you'll know you're in Royal Berkshire countryside! Now re-opened with a new management team and having benefited from interior decoration and outside landscaping, The Spring Inn is at the heart of the Sulhamstead community and overlooks the Sulhamstead and Ufton Cricket Club. Managed by the same team as highly successful gastropub The George at Wraysbury, there are plenty of culinary delights and a wide range of local, regional and international wines, beers and ales for residents of Sulhamstead

Interesting menu; several dishes I’d like to have tried. Unfortunately went for the vege Wellington which was on the small side with cool potatoes alongside. The risotto portion was very much larger. Service a little on the slow side; took 10 minutes to attract attention...More

So apart from the tough beef our Christmas lunch was terrific. We had pre ordered our meals so the waitress brought the four courses on with great timing between each phase, panache and good Ozzy humour. There weren't any surprises due to our more traditional...More

Today we thought we'd try this place again. The last time we'd had lunch at the Spring Inn, the food was cold. The good news is that, today, the food was hot. The starters were good. However, the lamb shank was really uninspiring. I Just...More

Having dined there several times, the food has generally been okay (but really nothing overlly special) and the service is hit and miss especially when the kitchen is busy. They seem incapable of keeping tables informed or apologising for the delay. On my last (final...More

One for the establishment to answer, I'd think the enquirer would be better served by contacting the establishment direct.
