Had an early evening session with a few work colleagues. Drinks were very cheap at today's rates. Ordered a large mixing grill and was very impressed. Perfectly cooked and hardly waited after I ordered. On the whole couldn't fault a thing

Like other Wetherspoons pubs, you get what you're expecting. We popped in for a hot chocolate on a Sunday afternoon and found it to be relatively quiet with plenty of seats available. Service was fast and polite. No complaints!

I like weatherspoons and admire their ethos in often preserving and maintaining the building's history. Food and drink is always good value and often top quality but I crave something different from the food menu, I'm bored with it. I travel across the UK and...More

We hardly found a table inside which was not ideal for us. Fortunately we managed to find a table outside in the fresh air , where we enjoyed the pleasant weather and our drinks till the closing hour. The staff and the bouncers are very...More

Very busy pub and the food was good and the usual Weatherspoon's standard. Good selection of Craft beers on. No parking nearby but this is Reading town centre. On the noisy side but this is Saturday night. It's one of the few pubs in the...More

Me and my friend often come here but only for drinks. The prices of drinks is very good it you are looking for a cheep drink but when it comes to food you might want to re-think.

This pub was one of the first Wetherspoon establishments to open outside of London and celebrated trading for 20 years in May 2014. Open from 7am daily for breakfast & coffee with a front garden area to make the most of the British weather. We have been awarded the maximum five stars in the Food Hygiene Rating scheme and welcome all to try our range of food available from pub classics, American style foods, pastas & salads and more. We take great pride in our selection of beers and ales. We are Cask Marque accredited and there are many guest ales to choose from as well as our house ales. We are also happy to introduce our new craft beer, Devil's Backbone IPA, from America along with Hogstar lager, Windsor & Eton Pilsner and Hazy Hog cider.
