Came in for lunch yesterday with a colleague and the food was nice, but a sausage roll, x2 panini, coffee and tea shouldn't be costing anywhere near £20, let alone costing more! It's a fun, quirky place, but I'm unlikely to return based on price...More

The coffee is always great and so is the food. Staff are always lovely. The problem is the interior which is just awful. Not only does it look outdated and not very inviting, the seats are hard and uncomfortable. The food is also not labeled,...More

Hello, I am sorry to hear of your recent experience and I am not sure why you were charged over £14 pounds for your order if you had 2 pieces of tart and 2 teas as this should not have been the case. If you...More

Flat white is £2.80 which is expensive even for London standards. They don't display the prices of their cuppas or food so very difficult to make educated/informed choices. Also they offer different sizes for Flat white which is wrong. Flat white must be small and...More

Really nice choice of coffee, to drink in and take away. Some nice food for a light lunch or snack too. Rustic setting, might not be the most comfortable, but is nice all the same. All served by people who care about the coffee and...More

Order any espresso drink at WorkHouse and you will not be disappointed! As a self-appointed coffee snob - this is certainly the best coffee in Reading, and the best cup of coffee I have had in a long time! You're missing out if you haven't...More

If great coffee is what you are after then this is the place. Much Better than your average chain , but there is a price to match.

Am used to paying £2.50 for a flat white in trendy Walthamstow, East London, but £3.10 for a coffee in Reading is extravagant, and hugely ironic given the name of the coffee shop. OK, it was a nice coffee, but for that price I should...More

I found the display of the prices behind the till on the wall relatively easy to see although that could have been the only place it was displayed.
