Walked in mid morning for a catch up and coffee, initial welcome felt a little cold and when we said we just wanted coffee it felt positively frosty. That said, the coffee was lovely as was the next round of coffees and service seemed to warm up at this point. Menu looked great and next time we are not on a time constraint we will sample the full menu.

Hidden Gem. Lovely staff and the best Breakfast I’ve had locally.

Although they serve the best English breakfast I’ve had around this part of Sheffield (everything was cooked perfectly) it is not a greasy spoon, it’s a charming lovely little cafe with an amazing selection of coffees, hot chocolates and delicious looking cakes. It’s table service and there’s plenty of room. The staff are so friendly and this combined with the quality of food is why there was so many regulars on first name basis coming in to eat. One lovely very elderly couple looked so happy tucking into there breakfast together remarking how they’d been looking forward to this all week. neither of the elderly was able to walk properly but the lovely lady who was front of house helped them in such a way that wasn’t patronising but more like a best friend or relative giving some assistance. It was lovely to see and this warm, kind and cosy atmosphere made my delicious breakfast taste even better. Highly recommended and I will be coming again next time with my family.

Second visit, and I’m convinced it’s the best in Sheffield

What’s not to love, they serve the best full English breakfast in the most welcoming atmosphere with barista coffees and amazing cakes. This was my second visit and the quality was just as good and the staff still as friendly. Highly recommended

Wont visit again im afraid

Wasnt impressed to be honest walked in with an unhappy member of staff who just looked at me as though I shouldnt have walked in! I had to say hello and can I sit anywhere? The answer I recieved was anywhere where there isnt a reserved sign on it ! Bear in mind my friend who I was meetin phoned and asked if you could reserve and was told no you dont have to! Overpriced coffee and food charged for a tiny amount of salad like a garnish I was asked if I wanted salad or coleslaw bear in mind nothing on menu states that that is extra charged! And came out smelling of a greasy cafe had to get changed when we both got home! Wont be back again im afraid needs a rethink of the staff friendleness , change of menu with extras added with prices and some air freshners , got the impression its not what you know its who you know hence reserved for regulars

Superb cafe, we visit around twice a week for breakfast/Dinner or sometimes just Lattes everything is spot on. Food ,drinks and staff are all polite and friendly. Keep up the good work

The Meeting Place delivered four excellent afternoon teas for myself and friends today. We all enjoyed the food immensely, although we had to save the cakes as we were so full. Fresh and delicious food. Highly recommend

Visited here for the first time this morning 11am. Extremely warm welcome. We hadn't booked but there was a free table. Gentleman who served us was lovely. We both had a mini bfast. They do a traditional and mega too. Pot of tea for 2. We were asked a couple of times if we wanted a refill or more water. Plenty in the teapot for 2 cups each though. Lovely crockery. The food was delicious. No hurry to get rid of us. Only £5 each total. Extremely clean place, light and airy. If you haven't tried this place, hurry up and do so. I'm certainly going again with my husband and other friends.

Called in for a treat had 3 breakfast standard sandwiches and 3 coffees ( takeaway) wasn't that impressed at all for £22 it wasn't anything great ,coffee was really nice thou ,and staff was friendly .

Too expensive for poor food and staff not sociable what so ever.

The panini was so thin and small with a scrapping of tuna mayonnaise and the salad garnish you needed a magnifying glass to see it..It was just warm .2 slices of very thin brown bread with Hardly any cheese on.Took 25 mins to arrive why.Cheese on toast £2.45 a slice (disgusting).Drinks Latte Luke warm and iced peach tea ,well what can I say it was like drinking cold iced water.It’s got too expensive and the staff aren’t friendly what so ever.£15.75 down the drain never again. Beighton leisure centre cafe is better by far .I’ll stick with them

I ordered the veggie afternoon tea

I ordered the veggie afternoon tea for delivery and it was amazing! Arrived right on time and included more variety than usual for us vegetarians such as a mozzarella and pesto sandwich, the bread was so soft and fresh and the scone was also perfect, which includes clotted cream, butter and Jam in little pots and your choice of cake-also delicious! Really reasonably priced and such a lovely treat!

Called in for something different instead of a sandwich shop and glad we did. Had omelette and was fresh and hot. Lady on the counter (Thursday 4th apr) was very friendly. Will definitely go again.
