Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

From ringing to see if they had a table and if dogs were welcome, the staff were friendly and caring, even the dog had a fresh bowl of water delivered to the table. The food was beautiful! Highly recommend!

So I want to start by saying the premises are lovely and really does have a family feel. Small play area around the back and lovely decor. The menu at the minute is obviously reduced due to the pandemic but we all found something and...the food was great. Steak cooked perfectly and everything was really tasty. I really really don’t want to write anything negative but in the current situation we are all living in I felt more could of been done by management to make sure that all visiting felt safer. I understand this is a local pub and friends would like to meet but it did start to feel crowded. It is quite large inside and I think it would be possible to have dedicated area for people who want a sit down family meal and to sit quieter and then have an area for ‘drinkers’. I will return because we did have a great meal and I have also heard about your Sunday lunches. I also understand how hard it must be to manage social distancing in this environment.More

Had a family lunch here today. We were greeted with a warm welcome, lovely food and great service. The pub manager does a lot in the community and chatted to us for ages. Will definitely return and would highly recommend.

After a chilly walk around Graves Park, We decided to call in to The Water Tower on our way home. Having lived in the local area for quite a while we have seen this pub in various guises over the years and never been in....It has certainly been overhauled and now looks fantastic inside and out. Welcoming staff, who were great managing my wife’s food allergies. The food was fantastic, nicely presented and tasted great. We will definitely be back.More

The only good thing to say is the beef was nice.....oh and staff were OK. All veg bland, tasteless and warm. Mash bland, tasteless and cold. My daughter in law had a lamb shank, overlooked like rubber. Very noisy, even before the live music began........Not the place to have a nice family time as you couldn't be heard and the pub wasn't that full, but those in were very loud. Then when a child came in with their bike..... It's a local loud pub. Not what we wanted, however, for some people it will work. Definatly overpriced will never go or recommend.More

Been for three meals now and will not be the last! After watching several ventures fail as The New Inn hopefully a new name will mean it is here to stay as a traditional family pub with good grub. The food is to a very...good standard and the Sunday Roasts are excellent. It is obvious the new landlord wants it to succeed and wants an atmosphere that families and couples will enjoy whether for a drink or meals. If you have not been for a while, give it a go and I am sure you will not be disappointed. Glad to see the pool table has gone!More
