The restaurant was incredibly busy & noisy on a Saturday evening, but the food & ambiance were unaffected.
It’s not cheap here, but the quality of the food justifies the cost.
The service was attentive but not particularly personal - this suits me fine as I’d rather chat with my fellow diners than the waiting staff!
Really enjoyed this first visit,& would definitely return.

This was our first visit to Domo on a Saturday night which we had booked a few weeks in advance. The menu is a pricier than most places in Sheffield but the portion and quality of the food makes up for it. The restaurant is noisy which made it difficult to hear conversation at times. They have a great awareness of allergens and we ordered the gluten-free gnocchetti and the sausage and borlotti bean dish with some wine by the glass

Booked for lunch 23rd Oct, it was a birthday lunch out for my other half, what can we say other than we loved it, from the welcome we got, the service throughout was faultless. Very attentive without being over the top. The food we had was some of the best we have had out in a long time well worth the trip from Doncaster. We had starters and mains plus a bottle of wine for £120 (ish) well worth it, the breaded veal croquettes were tasty and well presented, the oxtail ragi stuffed rice balls were my dish and again were so tasty, for mains we had the honey glazed rack of lamb that was cooked to perfection pink in the middle and the butternut squash completed the dish perfectly, I had the mafalde alla gricia, the Italian pork with this dish was the best I've tasted and the dish was so filling. We will definitely be back. It's well worth the trip for the quality of the food.

My husband booked for us to visit Domo for my birthday. Our table was booked at 4.30pm and the restaurant was really busy when we arrived with a great atmosphere. We were seated and given complimentary prosecco as it was a special occasion. This was a nice touch. We ordered 2 starters and some bread, then 2 main courses and a bottle of wine. After a wait of around 20 minutes, our starters arrived, along with our main courses. The waiter seemed as confused as we did as to why this had happened. He apologised and took away the main courses. The starters were tasty and we probably took 15-20 minutes over them. As soon as they'd been cleared, our mains were brought out and it was obvious that these were the same two dishes that had been served to us with our starters. My husband had ordered the turbot that had dried out and had the texture of cotton wool. I had the lobster pasta, which again was totally dry and chewy because it had, presumably, been sat under a light for 20 minutes keeping warm. We told the waitress and she spoke to her manager. He came over and apologised and gave us a £30 voucher plus a panettone to take home. This was a nice gesture. However, I'm sad that a special meal that we were so looking forward to was such a disappointment, especially given all the fantastic reviews we'd read.

Lovely atmosphere and food was good although very over priced for the portion sizes on the mains course. There were 4 of us and 3 of us had nearly finished our main course before the 4th person had received their meal despite our best attempts to get someone's attention to tell them this. Our bill came to over £200, even though we shared starters and didn't have desserts or coffee. The additional £20 (discretionary) service charge was a shock and we had this removed due to the lack of service received. A nice night but we won't be rushing back.

I came here for the first time in November 2024 with my boyfriend and I can honestly say that Domo is one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been to. The atmosphere in the place is buzzing and the staff were friendly, welcoming and unstressed. I had the polpo di papà as a main course and it was delicious and very fresh-tasting. For dessert I had the tortino al pistacchio which was one of the most delicious desserts I've ever had. We had quite a wait for our desserts and I was delighted that our waiter told us that they would be taken off the bill for this reason. We didn't even have to ask! This was amazing service. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anyone prepared to pay that little bit extra for an Italian dining experience which is noticeably better. Thank you to all the staff; I'm really looking forward to coming back.

Sadly did not live up to its hype. My Maltese friend knows her Italian fare and this was not by any means authentic Italian food. Waiters might sound authentic but food below average. Croquettes starter at £15 has no taste at all (unlike the menu long description). Ink squid lobster pasta at £30 ; turned up as white pasta ravioli. ; when queried told ran out but still served alternative to me and waiter said don’t know. Friends octopus £30 was a lot of white soggy bread and some good octopus but not £30. Waivers 2 drinks free due to my dish not being as described ; still £110 bill for poor food ; won’t be returning. Don’t recommend.

5 of us went for a family dinner, and we had a good spread of different choices. We had 5 cocktails and 1 bottle of med cost wine, and it was £75 per head with service. So not cheap for Sheffield by any means. All of the ingredients looked good and it was reasonably well prepared. I had the Bass and it was overcooked. By consensus round the table, the flavours were average and some of the dishes didn't work too well. Good atmosphere. Service was slow, and then they rushed us out at the end once we got to the 2hr limit, which was really annoying. Therefore I don't get the fuss over this place.

Really disapointing
We went as a family to celebrate our daughter graduating from Uni , so it was a big night for us .
There was a problem with the stater , but we didn`t let the staff know because my daughter didn`t want any fuss , so we let it go .( it would be unfair to let you know the problem as we didn`t raise it at the time .) The other starters were fine .
Main course
The Sardinian sausages were so salty they were unedible ,the only reason two of the 4 got eaten was because we all tried a bit of them them , they were awful .
The spinache came a fair while later than the main courses and was banged down on the table by the male waiter , he was also pretty rude when we asked earlier when it was coming .
The other main dishes were just ok , but bear in mind this is £20 for a pasta dish , we were hoping for better than ok .
We left as soon as possible after the main courses , the rude waiter ,problem with the starter and awful sausages saw to that and the general feeling of paying big money for a bang average ( at best )dining experience .
This place is pretty expensive and just not worth it in our opinion .
However the female server was great ,and she got a tip , hopefully only for her ,because the male server was shocking .

Lovely quirky venue. Broad menu selection for all taste buds. Service good.
A couple of elements to feed back one of our party waited a considerable length of time for their starter everyone else had finished theirs when it arrived. The server didn't apologise for the wait which was dissapointing.
We ordered sides for two of the mains and waited more than 5 minutes for them to arrive prompting the server for one.
One of the dishes didn't resemble the description on the menu and was very bland it was almost as if the flavour part of the sauce had been missed out.
We ordered Rose wine and had to wait for it to be cooled?
The majority of our family enjoyed dinner but I would have expected a better experince myself.

A new restaurant to us, sounded interesting and it was. It is in an area that used to be old factories but is now flats and 'urban village' housing, which makes parking a bit difficult. Inside has kept many of the old building's features but is warm and atmospheric, with plenty of bustle. On a cool Wednesday evening it was nearly full, and booking is definitely advised, especially at the end of the week. We were warmly greeted by Luccia, who looked after us all evening. She brought us two glasses of Prosecco gratis as it was a birthday celebration - a good start. She was also good at explaining the specifically Sardinian dishes and recommended ideal wines to accompany them.
We enjoyed everything we ate, though my main of halibut with a very thinly sliced Sardinian proscuito was in a rather spicier sauce than expected. With a starter of bruschetta laden with creamy pecorino and ham there was no way a dessert could be even contemplated. Our meal was quite pricey, but we did choose special dishes, and there are pastas an pizzas as well. The only thing that prevents me giving five stars are the toilets, which need some attention.

This is an amazing place for Coeliacs and gluten free people. When I booked the table I left a note stating that I am a celiac and when I arrived at the restaurant the manager came over to the table and ensured that I felt comfortable with my gluten free choices and that my waiter would be informed, my waiter then came over and ensured my meal would be gluten free. This place seems very up on allergy training and I felt very at ease to eat here. I had a pasta dish and it was the best gluten free meal I have had out. I highly recommend anyone dining here

Our 3rd visit to Domo, first time with these friends.
Booked our 2 hour slot for 8pm on a Saturday. Restaurant was not quite full.
By 8.20pm we had our drinks and starters. I thought that they were really going to push our table through. However, it then took an hour after finishing starts for our Mains go arrive. We kept asking numerous waiting staff for update. Eventually the owner told us the delay was because of a chicken dish we had ordered. If it's going to take that long then they should start cooking it whilst we're having the starters! Quite simple solution really.
The food was lovely as was the wine. We noted that no other table around us had the same issue.
Needless to say, we shall give Domo a miss for a while to see if the get their kitchen management sorted. A shame but I'm starting to see a pattern in these reviews.

We had a wonderful early Mother’s Day lunch at Domo. Everything was incredibly fresh and extremely tasty. It is the kind of place where you know whatever you pick off the menu will be amazing. Dario our server made our visit extra special. He was very attentive and had a great sense of humour, making us feel right at home. We will definitely be back!

Good food, but not great, some dishes were served cold. Waiter at start of evening was lovely and attentive, waiter towards end of evening was different and made the experience feel like a conveyer belt. Group of 4 spent £200.00 in the “allocated “ 1.45 minutes slot. Don’t agree with 10% service charge regardless, and waiter had cheek to ask if we wanted change. All felt a bit rushed and was actually caused by slow service of main courses, bit of a joke really and quite disappointing considering value for money / spend. At least have courtesy to say we need the table, but would you like a drink, we can seat you here, etc…Won’t be coming back sadly and will spend our hard earned cash on places that actually deserve/ appreciate it.
