This is such a lovely place. My husband and I visited in November for our anniversary and we've just got back from a family 70th birthday celebration. All the staff at El Paso always make a massive fuss. You may arrive as guests but you leave feeling like family. We are recognised when we go now and it feels so nice to have that. We took our kids tonight and the staff kept them entertained with magic, they loved it! Will always enjoying going to El Paso, the atmosphere, staff, drinks, and food are too quality.

Hospitabale, fun, and generous

Amazing service. We were served by Ciro who was very hospitable and approachable, and even let us sample some free shots. Helped make the night even more memorable by providing sombrero hats and taking a pic for us. All in all an amazing night, highly recommend and would love to return

We all had an amazing time at El Paso on the 6th December celebrating a friend’s birthday :) the food was absolutely delicious, as well as the cocktails (with some good deals). I have been here once before (for my own birthday earlier this year) and I still don’t know a better place to celebrate a birthday - the energy and enthusiasm that the staff bring to birthday celebrations is simply the best! Special mention to Ciro who made us all laugh, and we enjoyed having a boogie at the end of the meal. Would definitely return!!

Went to El Paso to celebrate my mate graduation. No words can describe how good the service n food was. From start to finish we were looked after well. The food was delicious cannot ask for more and having the cocktail made feel like im somewhere in Florida enjoying my Pina Colada cause of how well the restaurant is decorated. After finishing our meal when we asked for our bill a surprise tequila was brought to may mate singing a song by all waiters congratulating on his graduation. I would say it was a definitely a warming personal touch. Will recommend everyone to try chimichanga 😊

This was our first visit to this restaurant, as a result of a published review of best places to eat in Sheffield. The welcome was very warm( Ciro 👍) . On ordering drinks, my wife ordered a Diet Coke, no ice and hot full fat Coke with ice.The bar wasn’t paying attention to the order placed. My wife enjoyed her main chicken fajitas ( not enough pepper, onion or chicken), they did say they could replenish the wraps but mine( paella) was disappointing. I did think twice about it and wouldn’t ordering again. Quite bland and way off being a decent paella imo. The place was quite busy and had a good atmosphere. They did have a singer whose voice was certainly not bad but I am not a fan if a singer coming round to the tables! Would we return? Maybe give it another chance….

They are so honest they gave me too much change.

I am love Mexican food and I went to El Paso. When I got the bill it was £25.95. I gave £30.95 and when the receipt came back they’d given me £6 in change! I went back to the waiter and returned the excess change and gave him a tip. The atmosphere is amazing. The service is truly fantastic. They are so busy in that place but they always remember my name- mind you I do have a famous name! The food is amazing! As you can see from the photo I ordered a vegetarian burrito. That salad was clearly made fresh on the day. Those vegetables were so fresh they must have got them on the day. They were not from the fridge at all. That lettuce was as crisp as the ice on a frosty winter morning! That rice was light and fluffy. The burrito itself. Well what can I say? The photo does not do it justice. It was filling, it tasted divine and it was tangy. This was genuine authentic mexican cooking. I felt as If I was in Mexico. So the usual questions. Are they worth the money? Good value at 10 times the price. Would I go there again? Absolutely. Would I recommend El Paso to anyone else? Of course. What would I advise the public? Get yourself down there. You’ll love it.

Great food and excellent service

Went for a friend’s 30th birthday on Tuesday 5th. There were lots of us, yet the service was so quick and we all received our meals at the same time. Food was delicious - all the starters looked great and my enchiladas were really tasty. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, and they couldn’t do enough for you - especially Ciro - who got us all up doing the Conga through the restaurant for the birthday girl which was great fun! Really enjoyed our evening at El Paso and will definitely return!

I can’t stress enough how fabulous this place is if you want some atmosphere. It’s like eating abroad with the warmth of the staff and the way they make you feel special if it’s your birthday, or a special occasion! I’ve just had my hen so there and it was perfect! Good food, cocktails, and great staff!

We spotted this restaurant on our map and, as we both love Mexican food, decided it was ideal for us. The service was very good and the evening was full of fun, laughter, many happy birthdays, good music and great food and drink. If you are ever in Sheffield, I’d highly recommend you spend an evening here.

Food plentiful, but Covid-security not great

We weren’t asked to scan a Covid QR code or otherwise sign in, which I believe at the time was unlawful. Hand sanitiser not in evidence. Slightly strange ambience inside - looked like it might have once been a pub, or maybe an Indian restaurant. My partner ordered a glass (specified in the menu to be 250ml) of wine and challenged the size when it came, only to be told that the measure in the glass was 175ml! We got that rectified straight away. We arrived on time at 7.30, but by 8.20 still hadn’t received our starters. However, on chasing that was quickly put right. Our starters, squid rings and tuna-stuffed mushrooms, were good. For main, I had salmon with prawns and pesto with vegetables, which was very tasty, and my partner had chicken fajitas. These came as two tortillas, plus all the sauces and a huge sizzling iron plate of spicy chicken, plus chips - huge portions.

Great Mexican restaurant

Great place. Lovely food, staff very friendly and welcoming. We had the veg pasta garlic pizza bread (delicious) and chips with couple cocktails definitely on point! Food came out quick and piping hot.

Very disappointed at food and service

4 of us had a table booked for 7:30 for a 'quick' late tea and as part of Government scheme. We weren't seated until 8:15 despite there being empty tables. It seems that they had forgotten about us despite us getting Managers attention and letting them know. We were so hungry by the time we were seated. The service was very slow (not sure if it was low staffing issues or disorganisation) and once seated we were forgotten about again for a further 20 mins and we had to get the waiters attention, he said he would get a colleague to see to us yet they didn't. We were all very disappointed by the blandness of the food food. Seafood starter seemed like frozen food that had been microwaved with lots of water at bottom and very salty. The waiter wasn't sure what he had brought out when it came to mains (enchiladas) and my Son in-law couldn't tell if the dish was the beef one that he had ordered or the veggie which the waiter had initially said it was then gave it to sil anyway when he said he'd ordered beef. My chimichanga filling was just fried mince and onions. It looked like the chef had forgotten to add the other ingredients (very bland). In fairness, the Manager did apologise a couple of times and took our drinks off the bill (we had to get up from our table and ask for the bill after waiting for ages after finishing our meals). To be honest, I would rather put my comments forward to the team there and then but we given such poor customer service so weren't even asked how our meals were. We all felt that it was overpriced for the very poor quality of food which is a surprise as my friend raves about this place.. The lovely chips and tabasco sauce were the saviours of the evening.

Good food good atmosphere

Our first time, we nearly didn’t go because it was quite loud inside due to a hen party but we’re really glad we did. There was live music which was good. Had a drink at the bar first then were seated at our table. Had some prawns and chicken wings to start. I had pollo al horno that was delicious lovely moist chicken breast in a rich sauce with a hint of chilli and husband had the chicken fajitas. The staff were very good, I mentioned to my husband that my aperol spritz could do with more aperol in it and the barman heard and quickly put us some more in, brilliant. The waiters were having a dance along with the girls on the hen do and it was a really good atmosphere. Would definitely go back and maybe try the bottomless brunch

Better than expected!

We had 6 cocktails and 6 tapas dishes which came to approximately £65 in total. The drinks and food were great. The staff were friendly and chatty. There was a DJ playing music and singing, the waiters also joined in! By the end of the meal we were wearing Sombrero's & were dancing! The atmosphere was great even with only 8 other guests in there. This restaurant is a must, especially if you are heading out for the night in Sheffield.

Great food and service

Visited this restaurant multiple times and it never disappoints. The food is amazing big thanks to Faeez who suggested the Enchiladas which are very tasty and big thanks to Sonal for the delicious cocktails which made our meal. Will definitely be back again.
