Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Heard good things about the Rhubarb Shed and wasn’t disappointed. Went in a large family group for breakfast after previously booking a table. Nice rural type setting with an old feel to it. Excellent choice of food for everyone to choose from including vegetarian and...gluten free. Had the full English breakfast which was delicious. Definitely recommend and will no doubt return again.More

As per title! Well here’s what I mean firstly we visited the Rhubarb festival in Wakefield this Saturday a great day out you should try that next year! However today we had an amazing Sunday roast at the Rhubarb Shed Restaurant/Cafe truly fantastic i described...this meal as Michelin star quality to the front of house lady, she smiled and told me she would tell the owner chef! The place runs like clockwork with friendly happy, smiling staff, you can tell they are enjoying their work they are all doing their jobs with a smile on their faces which says a lot also the place is spotless, I’ve been here before for other food and have always delighted,More

We live close by so we have popped in for food of drink on many occasions and they kindly let us get a drink and a cake as we were only given 40 minutes to have this so we were rushed but it was fair...enough. The staff were so miserable at the table and appeared to be fed up maybe tired as getting towards late afternoon but we were put off going back agin too soon. The main lady was fine she took payment and we left . To add as well we were not keen on a table being given the wrong afternoon tea of foods and actually appeared to be touching the display when it was wipes away as wrong table and plonked in front of someone else which also seems to be less than the right ring to do as well for hygiene food reasons.More

Amazing food and service here. The gluten free menu is outstanding along with the regular menu. We had eggs benedict and it was perfect. Lots of cakes to choose from too. Will definitely be coming back!

Never been to "The Shed" for Sunday Lunch so we booked for us & our friends. So pleased we did, just as expected the food was exceptional & the portions enormous. 2 of us went for the pork and 2 for the beef, cooked to...perfection, the meat was super tasty & tender. As usual, we couldn't eat it all so some went home with us. If you have not been you are missing a real treat !!More

Had a delicious breakfast here. We didn't expect little place like this to have such lovely staff and food! This is definitely our new breakfast favourite. We are eager to come back and try the lunch menu and afternoon tea!

Have wanted to visit for some time and was not disappointed at all. Afternoon Tea was fantastic. Fresh sandwiches with four different fillings. Pork pie, sausage roll and a gorgeous caramelised onion quiche. Delicious scones, and a selection of sweet tasty cake treats. Pictures show...how incredibly presented it was but doesn’t do justice to how delicious each was. Staff were great and working hard, it was very busy but we didn’t feel cramped or rushed away after we’d finished. Although we were nicely full after our afternoon tea we appreciated how delicious food from their menu looked as it came out to other diners. We will definitely be back to try out the menu.More

All are catered for here with separate vegan & gluten free menus. We squeezed the last table upstairs & its a welcoming spot. The Arnold Benedict was delicious & rich & the avocado & halloumi a plateful. Staff are lovely, service is excellent. I couldn’t...help noticing that the afternoon tea is popular here with groaning trays of cakes & bites. The Ladies that lunch have moved onto tea & I will be back to even the numbers.More

A group of 4 of us booked a table here to celebrate my birthday. The venue is quite small but the staff are expert at quick turn around of tables so no one seemed to have to wait. The menu seems to have a mixture...of regular items and specials and I was really spoiled for choice. In the end I went for the Sunday Roast duo, which came with beef and pork. The waitress warned us there may be a small delay in the food arriving since they were busy. In the end the wait was not too bad at all. The meal was delicious and the meat really tender and brisket style. The price was also very reasonable. I loved this place and I highly recommend it!More

What a pleasant surprise! Why a surprise? Well, this level of food and presentation of it, I normally see from swanky city centre boutique food cafes… however this little gem is hidden out of the city up in the hills amongst some lovely shrub Personally,...I always look for city centre ‘popular’ places, it’s just what I’m use to…. But this is incredible. Honestly, I highly recommend this and rarely take the time to leave reviews (we’re all very busy right?), I couldn’t NOT leave one for this. Awesome team, lovely setting, incredible food and just bloody wonderful. Well done everybody this is incredible (writing whilst eating my food)More
