We visited here for breakfast and really glad we came across it! Good service, good value for money and nice food. The cakes looked amazing so will definitely be trying those next time!

We are regular visitors to the grind and have been for years, but the past few months we’ve noticed changes. The food is slow to come out, and when it does there’s usually a problem with it. The last straw for me to take to...More

We were visiting the Kelham Island Museum and spotted the cafe was busy, which we believe shows it must be pretty good if it’s popular. We grabbed the last table for coffee and cakes. All homemade with some nice variety. We returned after the museum...More

A bit of a hipster joint, but the service is good, and the coffee excellent. There's some outdoor seating for when the weather is good, though the views aren't currently the most attractive.

After visiting Shalesmoor Antiques and Kelham Island books and records, we wondered round to The Grind for a bite to eat. Has a limited but different menu to the usual cafe. Had an excellent Bacon Sandwhich. Had it been for a main meal I would...More

My sister and I visited the Grind Cafe for a piece of cake and upon entering I was taken back by how lovely the place was; cute and unassuming with delicate fresh flowers on the tables. We were greeted by a selection of delicious looking...More

Not sure. We visited at lunch time. The food is great. So I would expect the food to be good-if it’s open in the evening.

I think not - although there is seating outside, which is fine if the weather is fine.
