Called in here after visiting the museum on Kelham Island. What a great 'real' pub with really good, well kept selection of real ales. We just wanted a quick snack and the lady suggested cheese or ham baguettes which were not on the menu. Served quickly and very good, fresh side salad, fresh baguettes with enough cheese. Lovely atmosphere with... More

Visited last Friday with a decent size group. Well served place small but very clean and inviting. Beer was good and staff very friendly. Well worth a visit for real ale.

Tried 4 different real ales here and they were all good. Lunch for a fiver was filling but not in any danger of a Michelin star.

This is the brewery tap for the Kelham Island Brewery. A traditional pub which is well preserved with many of its original features still in place. We had a few pints of Pale Rider fabulous 🍺🍺

Last visited 33 years ago, it was an institution then, and still is now. Great pub if a little away from the city centre, although well worth the walk there. Small quirky bar, larger room to one side. Good selection of local ales and more national ones.
