A very clean and simple ambience - they are having to use perspex screens as Covid protection. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food is freshly cooked but not too elaborate so waiting times are relatively short. Really good value for money. I was sorry that...More

An excellent place to go for a nice brunch and coffee. Worth noting that the café is rather small and so fills up very quickly - we were fortunate enough to arrive as another party were leaving. Soup portions could benefit from being larger though!

Small and cosy but a great place for Sunday brunch for two, especially with all the veggie options. Friendly atmosphere and the food was just perfect. If we had read the reviews beforehand we would have bought a cake - they looked gorgeous.

We tried Alyssum looking for somewhere new, and couldn’t have been happier. We both had variations on eggs, toast avocado and pesto, and it was all delicious and well presented. A good sized brunch is only £7.50 so ignore anyone saying it’s too expensive, because...More

Alyssum offers really excellent coffee with soya/oat milk and also the best vegan cakes I have ever had. I had a toffee Biscoff cake this morning and it was just amazing. I really recommend this cafe. The staff are also very friendly.

When it was suggested by my visiting mother to go for brunch, I'll admit that my experience in Sheffield (and anywhere) is limited. Coupled with my newfound love of Halloumi and the confirmation that most items I would readily try on the menu contained it,...More
