I would definitely not recommend this place to anybody. Me and my partner stopped here about a year ago, the staff were okay but not great and we never went into the bar at that time. This time we were with family for an early Christmas weekend away, we didn't stop here but being regular visitors to Ionbridge we did... More

Three of us bought a real ale beer and sat outside in the warm sunshine. The inside is a bit 'spit and sawdust'.

Very impressive 400 year old building frontage. I had a Vegetarian Lasagne, served quickly, friendly restaurant assistants. Only think is that there was no Garlic Bread

Located opposite the famous Ironbridge this hotel was built in 1784 and apparently has enjoyed Royal visitors in its time. They were all long gone by the time we visited but seemingly so were everyone else. However, in truth we went there for our evening meal and the lack of people inside allowed me to order immediately we walked in.... More

Stayed overnight at the Tontine. Made to feel very welcome and given a room looking out over the Iron Bridge. We sat outside for the evening enjoying drinks and people watching as well as a walk around to get different views of the Iron Bridge. Room was fine but we managed to flood the floor of the shower as the... More

Just dropped by for an impromptu evening meal. Ordered in the Nick of time as last food orders at 7:30. Nice chilli and chips and lasagne and chips, freshly prepared. The wine was good and not expensive and the local draught beer very tasty. Price was good, too!

We didn't want an exotic meal and the menu here looked as though it would cater to our needs. And it did! Great, value for money food and drink, at a table overlooking the Ironbridge, itself. Fabulous, thankyou.
