Ok, so don't expect a vast breakfast menu, it's pretty much coffee or tea and cakes, but what cakes! We arrived to Cinnamon rolls fresh out of the oven and they were truly outstanding. Not the soggy over sugared nonsense of a Starbucks, but instead tasty, textured and incredibly moreish. Did I mention the friendly staff and idyllic location.....

Fantastic salt beef rolls! The homemade piccalilli is to die for, and goes really well with the salt beef. Cafe in lovely setting next the river.

We thought we'd see if this place lived up to its reputation after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor, and we are happy to say it most certainly does. When we arrived, lots of tables were already pre booked, but within a few minutes the staff had sorted a us table out. Despite being rushed off their feet, the staff... More

We booked at the last minute for lunch after a quick search on trip advisor and we were not disappointed. Celeriac soup just delicious, and gruyere cheese scone a great accompaniment. The kids enjoyed the pasta - very generous children's size portions. Cakes all homemade - we reserved pieces of the lemon polenta cake and carrot cake for mid afternoon... More

Indoor was fully booked for both lunch sittings midweek, but w decided to bear the cold and sit outside as they provided blankets. It was lovely to be by the river. We ordered mushroom soup and cheese scones that seemed to be freshly baked. The soup was unbelievable! Best thing I have ever had with a tasty oil and nuts... More

7 of us sat outside for lunch making the most of the riverside location. Those of us who were chilly were given blankets, and even offered hot water bottles! The menu focuses on the principle of doing a few things well, and excels. Goats cheese salad and mushroom soup highlights for me. Flavours were outstanding, and service to match. They... More
