Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Whilst visiting Shrewsbury in our campervan, we were looking for somewhere within walking distance of the town, to spend the night, and we came across The Red Barn, who offered parking in their carpark in return for a drink / meal in the pub, or...a payment of £10. We had a very friendly welcome from all the staff and met the pub manager, who was equally as welcoming. The car park was secure and private and the pub was a really pleasant 10-15 minute stroll into town, along the banks of the river. We had a great stay, both in Shrewsbury and at the Red Barn, and would definitely stay here again if visiting Shrewsbury.More

Last minute decision to have a Sunday roast! 1st time visiting & will defiantly be back! Meat was tasty & cooked perfectly along with the roast potatoes & veg. Yorkshire puds are massive & the gravy was better than my own!! Understand the chef was...new & they certainly delivered a perfect meal. My wife and I had Christmas Dinner at the Red barn and it was excellent the atmosphere and hospitality was second to none nothing was too much trouble and the service was fantastic the food arrived very quickly and was piping hot and the amount...of time between courses was perfect timed i would like to thank all the staff for their help and their welcoming manner. We will definitely be returning again and again. They also allow you to take your dogs in which is great news for us as we sometimes find it hard to find places that will allow you to take your beloved pet in.More

Just want to write a review as a family we eat here most weeks. We have tried most things on the menu and is always amazing good quality food. We never come away disappointed. Such a good friendly atmosphere and staff can not do more...to help you and make you feel welcome. The entertainment provided is always brilliant singers, quiz nights and bouncy castle for the kids as well as special bbq nights. We have been coming here regularly since moving to Shrewsbury and can not recommend it enough. If your looking for incredible food, friendly atmosphere and good entertainment The Red Barn is definitely a place to visitMore

Appalling food. Steak pie no steak and warmed in the microwave until pastry was rock hard and dry, sausage and mash was cheap sausage and child size portion of mash if that’s what you would call it. Definitely not home cooked food as advertised. Ever...likely the place was empty, should have realised it would be bad.More
