Food was excellent as was service. Stayed int his hotel for the night which had lots of character. Great base but only issue is parking so maybe arriving by train is a good idea.

Great atmosphere in a period dining room. Service was extremely good and the food was wonderful. We would have been content with just the food on our plates, but also received a tray of vegetables and sauces. Overall a very enjoyable evening. Would visit again.

Ate here on Friday night 14th April, the meal was excellent, the starters were confit of duck and chicken parfait, both very good indeed. Main course was chateaubriand, absolutely fabulous!

Stayed here for one night in the Wool suite - lovely and interesting place, beautifully decorated. Food was really nice and staff were really friendly. We really enjoyed our stay. I've stopped in Shrewsbury several times always different hotels - this is my favourite place.

This is a fabulous restaurant in every way. As my wife approached a landmark birthday, I trawled the best restaurants in town to decide where to hold her birthday evening. I made the difficult choice to hold it at Drapers Hall - difficult because we...More

We went for Cocktails and had a very pleasant evening – the bar staff making the cocktails were very good. Unfortunately the evening was tainted by the flippant comments made by what would seem to have been a senior member of the staff as we...More

Drapers Hall is one of our counties great buildings & has celebrated its 550 birthday this year. The restaurant established in 1999 by Nigel & Sharon Huxley, constantly strive to improve the building working closely with the Drapers Guild to preserve the hall. In 2010 further renovations brought about the Boutique Rooms, rated by the AA as 5 star Restaurant with rooms and two rosettes for the food, listed by Alistair Sawdays and Guru Hotels. The building is clearly special and so is the town, Parking can be arranged, just call and ask. New Cocktail bar offering large range of beers has become a popular venue for locals also serves tapas and classic bar snacks. Gourmet premium dishes in the hall, drapers also cater for Private parties and can offer private room service. The general ambiance is calm & stylish & dress is usually casually smart.
