Had my birthday dinner there. Though i was jetlagged and only had a main course, they provided free canape, which was good quality. My main course of Sea bass, was good, and my husband's beef , was excellent. Good service.

First time I have been here. A friend said Drapers Hall had been taken over and now had great food. Having grown up in pub/restaurant, I'm pretty critical of restaurants that claim to be good but are only average. In the case Drapers Hall, this...More

Drapers Hall is a fine dining restaurant with rooms nestled right in the heart of Shrewsbury town centre. It is one of Shropshire’s great buildings. After 18 successful years, Head chef and owner Nigel Huxley sold the business to Edward and Louise Taylor. The new team headed by Robert Jones, chef Richard Nair and Olivia Britton are here to make your experience in such wonderful surroundings a memorable one. Our passion is quality. With new bone china plates, fine glasses and handmade cutlery to showcase our incredible organic meats and wild game from the Rhug estate near Llangollen, shellfish from Anglesea, award winning British cheeses with hand picked wines to compliment every dish on the menu, even our coffee is roasted to order locally. The restaurant boasts an impressive oak panelled dining hall which leads into a quaint buttery area, accommodating diners looking for a more intimate experience. The contemporary bar area serves snacks and cocktails next to the open log fire.
