An unexpected find after the theatre. Having found most places fully booked, this one invited us in and found space. Wonderful selection of small bites to make up an excellent meal. Every dish was perfect and presented beautifully. Staff were very nice and able to give good advice. Definitely coming back here soon.

Our first disappoint it was the "bread "(pain di Mae). The mussels didn't have any taste, full of water, onions and tomato everywhere. The king prawns they were so small and just 3,the sauce ok. Ratattoi full of water and tomato sauce. Duck was ok. I wouldn't recommend this place if you want to eat proper French food.

The food is very good and there is a out side garden if the weather is good it's also close to the theatre royal and main attractions.

We met here for a birthday lunch party, and and spent a lovely afternoon there. The decor is fairly plain, but the food was absolutely delicious, and served in an unusual way - instead of ordering one main dish, you can choose two small plates plus a side vegetable dish from the lunchtime menu, which cost a very reasonable £10.95.... Easy to use, great food, handy for the theatre. La Barrique brings France to Bath so well we ask ourselves "Why don't we come more often?" every time we we eat their petits plats. The choice is enticing with a good variety of dishes you can try in a very manageable way. Nice to have pudding wine available (deserts are... More

We visited La Barrique while in Bath for the Christmas market in late November/early December. We just managed to get in while the pre-Theatre menu was being offered and got aa table without having booked. Overall the food was excellent, although timings were a little out. We started with some appetisers (cured meat with olives) which were top quality, followed... More

Very enjoyable. Different style with the tapas plate style which was a bit unusual, but it worked because of the quality of the food.

Michel Lemoine is THE last independent restaurant in Bath to his credit. A place where you can walk in a people remember who you are. Nice food, great service and a REAL journey. I am French and for an hour it felt like home. Really recommended. Biagio

This restaurant was highly recommended to us, we pre-booked and we're not dissapointed. Lovely rustic ambience, staff all very welcoming and helpful. We selected the set dinner which was great value (£10.95 starter and main with side) probably the best dauphinois potatoe I've ever tasted. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit - many thanks

We went for a pre theatre dinner with friends last night having heard good reviews. We ordered and unfortunately the waitress took one of our orders down incorrectly or more precisely not at all! When the food arrived one of us had nothing to eat. No apology was forthcoming and we had to chase up again to get the additional... More
