We took a trip out to this country pub that we used to visit regularly in our teens nearly 50 years ago whilst we were taking a break in Bath. Whilst they were heavily booked they managed to fit us in early evening. We arrived...More

The previous reviewer Trish Roath says it all, and perfectly. It was our first visit too, and even the owner's spaniel was delightfully friendly and well behaved. On a sunny day it'd be complete bliss.

A lovely pub with beautiful grounds. We ate inside and had a traditional Sunday lunch of pork with all the trimmings. Beautifully cooked and presented. Will certainly be back.

The Wheatsheaf is a well positioned pub, with many of the components needed to compete in the country gastro pub market - but oh my, how it fails to deliver on the promises it suggests it will make. The decor is firmly country-Sloane; collections of...More

The Wheatsheaf is situated in large terraced gardens overlooking the village of Combe Hay in idyllic countryside just 10 minutes drive from the centre of Bath.

The Wheatsheaf is a haven of contemporary rustic chic, preserving the best of the past and enhancing the present. Real Ales, local Cider and an impressive, as well as attractively economical Wine List are still available from the Bar and only the very best of local and home grown produce is used in the preparation and cooking of the stylish and mouth-watering food in the Restaurant. The open log fire warms and welcomes in the Autumn and Winter, during Spring and Summer the Terrace and garden beckon.
The Wheatsheaf is a place for all seasons, for resting, relaxing and the fine things in life...
