Oh, and Bath's most awesome sausage rolls. But it's about the beer. Well kept ales, served by welcoming staff. A cosy retreat from a damp new year's eve day. Make mine another Barnsey please/

A beautiful and warm pub! Nice beers ( try the dark side, it's worth it) and nice selection of drinks!

We have used this pub/restaurant a few times the pub side of things is good with a good selection of beers sadly the toilets are upstairs which is not good for older people. I would not recommend the food as it's expensive small portions it's a shame it doesn't match the bar aspect of the premises.

Brilliant, friendly, welcoming, lovely place to be on Christmas Eve! We ended up being a little loud and jolly, but throughout our time the staff were absolutely marvellous! Merry Chrismas to all! Highly recommend both the beer and atmosphere.

This Bath Ales pub has a good selection of Bath Ales beers on tap. The Silvertip from Beerd was particularly nice, I went back a couple of times on our short stay in Bath. It's quite small downstairs but is split into several even more intimate areas.

Never mind the excellent selection of Bath Ales on tap, the food is delicious. Had the best ox cheek ever here, with a scrumptious horseradish mash. My wife had a delicious fan-fried cod. The prices are reasonable, and, of course, the drink is superb. If ever in Bath, do make your way to this cozy pub.

This bar reminds me of the small bars that can be found in the Little Italy area of Manhattan. If I owned a bar, this would be it. Today's visit, my girlfriend and me, a pre-theatre shared steak sandwich and chips, a pint of Amstel beer and a Cappuccino, all in less that £25, great service, friendly service, I will... More

Arrived early before the Bath / Bristol rugby game. Serves good ales - the Bath Gem gets a special mention- and a wonderful cold meats starter board. Staff friendly and attentive even when busy and the atmosphere is fantastic and noisy especially about an hour to go before the 'kick-off' of the rugby game with lots of rugby followers and... More

Description
The Salamander is great city-centre pub, 'The Sally' serves good food and a fine choice of beers from Bath Ales and beyond, and welcomes a friendly, eclectic audience. It's small, it's snug but it's oh so special! The Salamander is tucked neatly away just off Queen Square in the heart of the Georgian city of Bath. Historically a 'steak and chop house', it now consists of a wonderfully simple bar on the ground floor and an impressive dining room complete with galley kitchen upstairs.Using the finest produce from local suppliers, 'The Sally' is renowned for its imaginative and varied menu, available both downstairs in the bar and upstairs.
