I’ve never paid so much to eat so little! The food was nice but don’t expect more than a few mouthfuls for £££. I had a cocktail that was whisked away before I’d even finished it. This place is so pretentious. Don’t bother unless that’s...what you’re after.More
Not cheap, but well worth the money. Quiet, relaxed atmosphere, small plates service with food beautifully prepared (the pigs' cheeks in Calvados are particularly recommended). It's also the only place we are in in Bath where they actually serve your bread with more butter than...you need. Catholics should beware when using the lavatories, though - the gents' displays a statue of Saint Anthony of Padua on the cistern, looking uncomfortable among framed black and white erotic photographs of inviting-looking young ladies, while in the ladies' a 1950s rent boy exposes himself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. ll in a long French tradition of secular anticlericalism of course, but it may offend you - if your religious sensibilities are such, I advise using a loo elsewhere just before you go there, or immediately after.More
Last minute trip to Bath with no particular plans and we picked Comptoir + Cuisine for dinner. The food was outstanding, all recommended by the lovely staff - we went for the aubergine & cauliflower for starters, chicken leg & monkfish for main and fondant...au chocolate with Cointreau icecream all washed down with a bottle of white white. Perfect evening many thanksMore
Fantastic place for a tapas meal. The service is excellent and very friendly and the food is amazing. Good selection of wines and champagnes too. Would recommend
Very happy with our experience here! Amelia was friendly, helpful, and attentive. Although there were a couple of dishes which were sold out there were still a lot of options, even for myself a pescatarian. Really recommend the camembert and the 5 cheese board, and...my friends would definitely recommend the escargot and the duck rillette! Would recommend to friends and definitely visit again. Thank you to Amelia and the other staff members for a fantastic experience.More
This place was recommended to us by a friend, on the basis of cheese and champagne. And this place does delicious cheese and champagne! We had the baked camembert with truffle and three french cheeses to start, all delicious and served with the appropriate condiments....Two of us then shared 4 tapas (Ox’s cheek, cheese salmon, cauliflower and the mushroom mille-feulle with a side of potato wedges with truffle oil. Myself snd my other half argued all night which was best, but all were cooked beautifully. I couldn’t resist having the homemade madalines to finish, which were warm and lemony and could have been eaten twice over. If you are in Bath and fancy something a little different, fab place to eat. I mean what isn’t to love about good cheese and champagneMore
Third time was not lucky... I have visited twice before so I know how great an establishment this place can be. However my wife and my self had booked for my 40th and were less the happy, I hope that latest visit was a one...off and not the new norm. To start off we were sat at the smallest "table" above the stairs, if your are 5,10" or above you would struggle for leg room and the chairs appeared to be under sized. Food was great as always. However they forgot a few of the dishes we ordered which lead to very disjointed experience, in addition due to the less then optimal location of the table the staff struggled to service the table, no check backs to see if we had received all the ordered dishes, checking to see if we needed additional drinks or even deserts. TLDR, if you get the small table hidden behind another table... don't sit down.More
Very expensive for average food and wine. The cheapest wine at £28 a bottle is £7 supermarket wine. The food was mostly cold and very ordinary. Would eat anywhere in Bath before returning here
A lovely place for a lunch or evening meal, fabulous menu with lots of interesting food, it's recommended to have two or three dishes each (French but tapas style). We were a party of four so tried various dishes and shared between us. Our waitress...was very helpful and enthusiastic about the food. Great house red wine.More
What an enchanting location! Discovered it on Trip Advisor during my trip to Bath, and it truly lived up to expectations. The menu boasted a fantastic array of delectable dishes, served by amiable staff in a charmingly eccentric atmosphere!
What a wonderful place this was! Found it through Trip Advisor when visiting Bath and was not disappointed. A fabulous range of mouth watering dishes served by friendly staff in a delightfully quirky setting!
Thank you for this amazing review, Derek! We're so happy to hear you've loved your time and the meal with us!!!
We went here for dinner on our first night in Bath, and we had a nice evening. The food was good, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. The selection of wine is excellent here. We had the Madeleines for dessert, and they were...the best we had ever tasted! Only complaint would be the service charge which was noted as optional on the receipt, but we were not asked if we wanted to pay it. Maybe it is also a bit overpriced all in all.More

Food was excellent as was the service. Very good house wine. The chicken in red wine and cassis sauce was superb as was the pork cheek in calvados.
