Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had a lovely cream tea in here with a view! Plenty of tea and a good dollop of clotted cream with the warm scone. Staff friendly and efficient and not overpriced for Bath. Would go again.

What a great place to stop for coffee and snacks! Even if you don't sit by the window, you have to take a look outside at the great view of the Pulteney Weir and River Avon. There was a good selection of cakes to choose...from, and the hot drinks were good. A friendly staff made the short break even more pleasant.More

Great scones, friendly staff, nice view if lucky enough to get one of two tables by windows on to the weir. Nearest public loo is Waitrose - this place is too small to cater. Overall, lovely spot.

I popped in for a sandwich earlier and frankly felt most unwelcome. The young girl behind clearly would rather be anywhere, but delivering a service to paying customers. No hello, no "please", no "thank you", and almost no eye contact. I appreciate we all have...'off days' but this was just rude. Had I not had been hungry and in somewhat of a hurry, I'd have probably cancelled my order and gone elsewhere.More

We visited this Cafe on Saturday afternoon, there were a number of empty tables, but they hadn’t been cleared, Customers had just put dirty dishes on the shelf by the window. We ordered Teas and a couple of coffees along with some cakes. the Tea...arrived and the cakes and the forks were dirty. We asked if we could change the Forks and the waitress took them away only to return 5 mins later and pronounced that she had polished the forks just for us, totally unnecessary comment. The Coffee took another 15mins by which time we had already finished our cakes. Maybe if this lady had spent less time going out side for a cheeky vape then she could have checked her dishwasher for clean forks, or gave us our coffees in a timely fashion. There was no need for her attitude, at no point did we complain about the doors beening wedged open which made the place freezing , or the fact there there were so many cups and plates lying about.More

Great views of the river at this little bakery/teashop on Pulteney Bridge. The building is tiny, a grown man could lay down and touch street side to back side—something to be aware of if you’re claustrophobia-prone or noise sensitive—but it’s a fun pitstop for coffee...or tea.More

We visited The Bridge Coffee shop for a quick drink having been turned away by a rather rude waiter at another nearby establishment as we only wanted drinks. How glad we were! The staff in The Bridge Coffee Shop were so lovely with each and...every customer. We ended up having extra drinks and cakes, so stayed a lot longer than we intended! Fabulous location overlooking the river. Fab food and all very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend a visit here.More

A daytrip to Bath; we parked in a side-street courtesy of a longtime associate. We then walked just-over half-a-mile to this coffee shop café on Pulteney Bridge. For those that don’t know Pulteney Bridge is a highly unusual structure; with shops built across both sides...of the full span of the bridge, and this café is one of the shops. The views from the café are of the River Avon as it heads downstream towards Parade Gardens, and this includes the fabulous picturesque horseshoe weir. We had an absolutely wonderful coffee here, hot and strong, with a bitter burned caramel flavour. It was far better and cheaper than the cost-a-fortune coffee, and how can you beat that view? Service was efficient and pleasant.More

Had run out of the chicken, bacon, tuna brown bread and most of the juices at 1pm on a Thursday - which represents about 80% of the unextensive sandwich- based menu. Card machine broken. Ordered drink completely forgotten. None of this helped by bored, disinterested...surly little madam of a waitress. 2 other customers left before ordering. Quite easily the worst place I've ever eaten. You were warnedMore

Went for a quick sandwich on my lunch break. They were out of chicken, I mean come on! Wednesday lunchtime at 1230 and you have no chicken?! Settled for a Brie and Ham sandwich instead at £6.40. Waited 10 minutes, took my sandwich back to...office. Turns out they forgot the ham, so it was a Brie and lettuce sandwich. Plus one of the pieces of bread was an end-of-the-loaf piece, tough, chewy, unpleasant. Will not be returning.More

This is a cozy, if a bit cramped, coffee shop on the west side of the Pulteney Bridge in Bath. We were able to get a table & ordered tea & scones at the counter. All arrived quickly and we settled in to some good...tea and probably he best scone I have had in 8-10 years (on a visit to York). Staff was very busy, but cheerful and helpful.More
