As a Bath resident I had heard about the Star but never been in. I put that right this evening. It is not often that a place exceeds the hype, but this is one of them. On entering you are immediately transported back a couple...More

This is a pub. If you are seeking a pub-like experience then here you have it. A gem of a place all warm wood and smiley barman and beer. If you are a doubter then go there - it will restore your faith in pubkind

Often pop in for a Bass - fab beer and a lovely atmosphere in a proper pub. Only ever eaten a cheese and onion roll and crisps here but then we pop in for a pint and a half of Bass, not to eat!

This is the real deal. Authentic English Pub with lots of nooks and crannies. Great for just relaxing and maybe hearing some of the local gossip. Not too many tourists here, just the locals. There was music when we were here on a Saturday evening.

One of the few real pubs left in the UK. No frill. Good beer. Small. Best in winter with cheering fires.

We went here on a crisp Boxing Day after walking the bath skyline walk and It was as lovely and homely as what I have read about it. Just two small simple wood panelled rooms make up the bar that is a real treat for...More

Go down Lansdown Road and turn left into The Paragon. The Star Inn is a little way along on the left hand side.
