Not long ago me and my friends came by, not only did we have a great night but we were located in a stunning room, almost on our own although we did not have this arranged to do so which was amazing. To begin with all our food was served in a great manner, amazingly presnted with increadible taste. Each... More

If everything had been up to the standard of the haddock chowder (which was delicious) it would have been happy days. But, unfortunately it was not. The beetroot tart was cold, which is fair enough, had the parted not begun to dry out and become hard, the feta mousse it came with was just a piece of feta and the... More

Very good food for our valentine meal, very friendly staff but not intrusive. The food was lovely but the main course was brought about 5 minutes after our aperitif, making us feel rushed. We had the chicken and salmon, both of which were beautifully cooked and well-presented, the desserts were very good and the wine list gave a good choice.... More

Food was very good. There is a set lunch menu or a bar menu. I had a homemade soup with triple cooked chips followed by sorbet for dessert as I only wanted a light lunch but I was still pleasantly full. Other people in my party had the set menu and the veggie burger from the bar menu and were... More

Last time I came here I was blown away by the food and ambience. This time however I thought it was good. Good is not what I remembered. I remembered fantastic. The chicken was nothing special and looked unappealing. Almost colourless and just dumped on a dollop of mash. The Cornish hake however was very nice as was the Chilean... More

Visited the King William for Sunday lunch with friends. I had been to the King William a few years before and it was fantastic and I'm glad it is just as good now. We all had three courses including the terrine, roast and sorbet - all absolutely fantastic! The roast is really one of the best in Bath. I won't... More

We had a group of 10 of us in a room upstairs which was quite nice as we basically had the room to ourselves. The food was OK, but with set menus in the run up to Christmas not many places are really good value. I was particularly disappointed with the starter where I had a nice terrine with one... More

We happened to be passing through Bath today and were keeping an eye out for somewhere to have a late lunch and spotted this restaurant. The lunch menu was fairly short (always a good sign) and sounded delicious and we were not disappointed. The service and food were both very good and at £15 each for 2 courses, very reasonably... We went to the king willam in may last year and had an amazing meal. We were visiting bath this week (16th January) again and booked into the king William once more. We have eaten in one & two Michelin star restaurants and the food we had tonight was as good. The price of the food was very reasonably for... More

This small friendly restaurant delivered the perfect roast dinner ! Went on a Sunday afternoon with friends and we were all greatly impressed by the beef roast dinner and the various puddings . Very friendly service and lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended

When the King William restaurant in Bath was converted from the knackered pub it used to be, it became it gastronomic hotspot for Bath-ites who adore the excellent food and relaxed setting. The ground floor is a pub, with the fine dining room upstairs, all now eclectically kitted out with in shades of mauve with antiques, chandeliers and daily blackboard specials. Seasonal, free-range, organic and local sum up the provenance perfectly, for dishes like fried squid with fennel, ruby chard and green sauce and main of fantastic braised lamb for two with herb broth, mash and local greens. Superb small-producer beers and ales and a blistering wine list crown King William a top restaurant in Bath.
