What a jewel of a place this is! We searched through the various places to eat in Bath, there are so many! We decided on this one and took a chance to see if we could manage to get a table there. Couldn't believe it when we walked in such a fantastic palace with Moroccan decor and a lovely atmosphere.... More

We came here for Mother's day and, despite it being busy, the service was excellent. The food was great. All four of us had different dishes as the menu was so extensive and we wanted to try a bit of everything. We all enjoyed them. The ambience is great, it does feel Moroccan, especially the "shop" downstairs which feels like... More

First try at Moroccan food. It was recommended by a friend and certainly didn't disappoint. Great food and service. Talked us through the dishes to make sure you got what you like. I would highly recommend to others. Andy O'Connell

Outside is perfect patio seating for watching the passers by and inside is an atmospheric intimate restaurant with Moroccan decor and exquisite food. We shared the messe small plates which were all of excellent quality. the restaurant got busy fast so it may be worth coming early or booking a table.

Nice atmospheric place inside, and a warm welcome from the owner. We enjoyed the food very much. We shared a mezze plate to start, then one of us had a chicken tagine with olives and preserved lemons, and the other had a lamb tagine. The food was very tasty and as we like Middle Eastern food, it ticked all the... More

Having had a wonderful lunch at Sam's Kitchen we came to Zhor's for dinner and it finished off the perfect foodie day!! The lamb tagine was to die for, although quite expensive, the flavour was intense and it was very authentic taking us right back to Marrakesh!!

Had the £14.95 lunch menu. Poor quality food for the price. My starter of Merguez sausage was luke warm and I have certainly had meatier and better tasting ones. The vegetable tagine consisted of mainly large chunks of potato and carrot, 2 green beans, some peas and broad beans( which were not fresh) and some dried fruits. What ever happened... More

The Hariria soup was like dish water, with less than half a pitta bread, small portion size and quality terrible for price. I had the two course lunch menu- Mezze served on a small plate (tea time size) with a splodge of lots of things on it all mixed up as they were squashed on the plate, one small cube... More

Went to Tagine Zhor with 5 close colleagus for a very late Christmas works do. Wanted it to be special. Spoke to Mustafa, the owner, and asked him to design the perfect Moroccan meal - and boy did he deliver. We are all pretty demanding when we pay for food - and this met all our expectations and more. Mustafa... More

Tagine Zhor is an authentic Moroccan restaurant run by the Casablancan Moroccan born owner. He takes pride in his Fez cuisine because it is based on traditional recipes that have been passed down from his loving Fez born grandmother "zhor" to him. It is the only finest Moroccan restaurant in Bath and probably in the whole South West of England. The perfect place to experience real Moroccan food cooked and served in a distinctive and traditional manner together with genuine warm hospitality in absolute beautiful Moroccan surroundings. Most meals begin with the simple selection of hot and cold mezze which might include hommos, Olives and Baba Ghannouj served with flat bread. The Tagine may come next served with Cous Cous, rice or Bread. It is a stew made of lamb, Chicken, Fish, Beef, kofta and Basilla. A single plate of dessert will usually consist of baklawas . They are sweet pastries dripping in honey or dusted in icing sugar marks the end of the meal before fresh mint tea or Arabic coffee are served. Do not forget to take a seat on outdoor terrace and enjoy the Shisha pipe and its flavour of tobacco. Also pay a visit to our gem Bazaar Shop downstairs featuring beautiful and unique handmade Moroccan items "great idea for gifts"
