About
If the name of this restaurant alone isn't enough to make you want to dine here, then we'll eat our Dhaka topi hats. However, in case you need any further incentive – we're delighted to say that this super-cosy establishment is superb. With whitewashed walls and brightly coloured hand-woven cushions, the Nepalese dining room at Yak Yeti Yak in Bath is warm, peaceful, and popular with a fresh-faced crowd who look like they climb mountains just for fun. While - as far as we can tell - there is no actual yeti on the menu, there are plenty of other star attractions such as the Yak Yeti Yak Beef – spicy beef stir-fried with onions, sweet peppers and tomatoes.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My sister and I booked a table for when the restaurant opened at 5 o’clock because we wanted to have an early meal before our evening plans. The rate at which the restaurant filled up is testament to how popular this place is! Within half...an hour the place was buzzing with people (in a lovely way). The mocktails were IN-CRED-I-BLE - as any other teetotallers out there will appreciate - it’s really hard to get a really decent mocktail. I had an apple fizz drink and my sister had a mango based one (apologies I can’t remember the names of the drinks) - they were so refreshing and stylishly/thoughtfully presented. The food was hot and delicious! We were asked how much heat I would like and our food was cooked exactly to our taste. Thank you for a lovely meal!More

Wow wow wow, after trekking in Nepal & having Nepalese friends in Aus I was excited to see this place pop up on Happy Cow whilst visiting my son in Bath. I thought it would be good after reading the reviews however good was a...massive understatement it was amazing. We went for the traditional experience & were on cushions on the floor, my son & DIL said there dishes were amazing (not vegans) we shared 3 vegan starters. The only issue was I wanted to try it all. I will be going back before I head home to Aus in Jun. If you're in Bath DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE.More

Even though we arrived the day before our reservation 😬 they were very kind and understanding of our mistake and found us a table. When we tried to order there were a few items missing from the menu but still plenty of other choices. Food...was served quite quickly and was hot and tasty. Everything had a little ‘kick’ to it and the waiter offered us a choice from mild to very hot. I chose mild which was just right for me and full of flavour. Husband chose hot which they described as Vindaloo type - it was way too spicy for me but he really enjoyed it. All the staff were very friendly and helpful in advising us what to eat. Would definitely return next time we are in Bath.More

Went for sons 21st birthday as a party of 9. Really good service and the food was lovely with so many flavours. The medium was fairly hot for my 18year old but we were advised that. Staff were lovely and felt we weren’t rushed. The...surroundings are really nice and would recommend and go again. Lots of veggie choices.More

Really, really enjoyed my meal here. Went for some momos then a few vegetarian dishes to share, and the tea spiced ice cream for dessert, and would highly recommend the lot. Staff were lovely too!

We had a delicious traditional meal in our family of vegans and omnis. We are at the traditional floor seating area which was an experience! The food itself was very yummy - portions were generous so if you are small to medium eaters I would...recommend one rice between two (the waitress told us it was small but no one finished the rice!). We ordered from the set menus so all of our dishes came well complemented with daal. Would go again! Medium was a lovely amount of spice for flavouring and not pain! Mild has no spice essentially #VeganuaryMore

Such lovely food here! The set meals are a great mix of portion sizes aren’t massive unless you order from the group set menu but it’s enough for a dinner. Staff are lovely and the vegetarian options are great.

Our first experience of Nepalese food. Mild and Medium were VERY mild and under-seasoned. Dumplings were dull. Goat curry had no curry and little goat. Carrot dessert was horrible. Dalls were very watery. BUT the chicken was fine, the other starters were good. The chocolate...dessert was excellent. Staff were very friendly and atmosphere was great.More
