Sadly when we were there the pianist was late. Had a little tinkle myself on the piano just to prove to husband that I can actually play. Finished our wine and moved on before he could arrive but gather he’s quite good. May go back...More

Arrived at 8pm to a silent room as the pianist was about to start. Felt initially like it was going to be a recital but in fact very interactive, relaxed and ultimately loads of fun. Menu not exactly extensive but cheese is always nice! Very...More

We dropped in for a post-theatre drink and were very pleased we had. Sitting in the atmospheric upstairs room, we enjoyed some very good wine, and a delicious cheese board, all accompanied by some great folk singing as part of Bath Folk Festival. If we...More

This place is a real gem. It offers a selection of fine wines and good food that matches. The owner and his staff are all polite and on the the ball. I would rate this place as a must see in Bath, especially if you’re...More

Can't fault my experience here - stopped in late night for a glass of wine before stumbling home and was bowled over by the selection, and the knowledge of our server! My partner and I ended up buying a bottle and thoroughly enjoying the cosy,...More

I really enjoyed the set up of this place and the piano sessions. I also thought the staff were lovely. My only little complaint is how little cheese you get for the price you pay. We normally go to Gordon's in embankment quite a lot...More

Recently visited Barton Street Wine Bar after it being flagged a couple of times in various blogs and we are so glad we found the time to visit in the evening before we had a meal reservation elsewhere. The wine list is extensive and the...More

Just in the centre of town, I really enjoyed this place. There are many rooms to sit in the place and a good choice of wines. Good service that makes you feel at home.

We didn’t need one - there was lots of seating when we were there though I know it gets more crowded when they have live music...

Description
Set in the heart of Bath but at the same time slightly off the beaten track. Barton Street Wine Bar is the perfect place to chill out with a glass/bottle of wine with a cheese & charcuturie board which many agree is the best in the city. We also stock a carefully selected range of gins and whiskies and have craft beer on tap. Music is seen as an essential part of the experience we offer so as well as the finest soul, blues and jazz played through our music system Friday and Saturday nights from 8pm you can find jazz session pianists playing our piano. We're open from 5pm Monday to Saturday. closing can be anytime up to 2am - just depends on what's happening that particular night! Come and pay us a visit.
