Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The food is amazing! We had the quiche and baby potatoes which were to die for. I can't recommend this highly enough. Unfortunately the staff were very abrupt and slightly arrogant which let the establishment down. Shame. Would probably return to eat there again if...we went back to Glastonbury but if the attitude was the same I think we'd leaveMore

It would be useful if the food containers were labeled as it what the food is, rather than having to ask and delay service for other people waiting. I am, relatively new to vegetarian food, I felt embarrassed having to ask what each dish was....Having said that, the food was delicious and plentiful.More

We were looking for an afternoon tea and cake stop when we noticed a small door to a cafe. We walked through a short corridor to the cafe and found a table, which was clean and had sufficient space for two. We were served quickly,...politely and offered milk alternatives as they are aware of people's preferences. The carrot cake and cheese scone were delightfyl and large. The tea was exemplary. In fitting with it's Glastonbury surroundings, the cafe was new age hippyish, so friendly, warm and welcoming. They looked after an apparently homeless gentleman while we were there, giving him a hot drink and talking to him nicely. Great to see.More

I eat here at least once a week and could not be happier with my experience. The food is delicious and always worth the wait. There is always a queue and that's because the food is so delicious. The staff work as fast as they...can carefully making sure each customer gets the attention they need to complete their order. If you are in a rush this may not be for you but you will get delicious food, a caring staff a charming environment and a lovely garden to enjoy your experience. The Sunday Nut Roast is the best in town. I have lived here 20 plus years and have tried all the restaurants many times and Rainbow End is consistently at the top of my go-to list. You will not be disapointed.More

Wow. The food here is INCREDIBLE. We shared a meze platter and the selection was hard enough. The flavours absolutely exceeded our expectations. The value to the size of the portions was great. We would absolutely recommend!

Yes, there's usually a queue at Rainbows End but that's because the food is so good. An array of mouthwatering savory dishes and cakes to choose from with a good selection of beverages. Helpful friendly staff and a lovely garden to sit in.

The good: The food is really decent with a wide range to choose from. It has a real 1980s wholefood café feel, with that stodgy, carb-heavy food that in my view is no bad thing. The cakes are always fantastic. The physical space (including the...outside space) is very pleasant, if a little tight. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The not so good: The queuing system is awful. Hard to tell if there's something you want until you've waited for five minutes and can see the counter. Maybe at least photograph the menu each morning and post it on social media? It's a terrible experience for anyone with an anxiety-related condition as decisions about what to eat have to be made at the last minute under pressure. My autistic partner hates visiting. It's also difficult if you think you might want a piece of cake but want to see if you have space after lunch, because that would mean going back to the queue for another fifteen minute wait. The service time is really slow, and the food is generally luke warm at best by the time you sit down to eat it. So many times I've joined the queue only to see groups come in behind me and send someone to grab a table. Tables should only be available after serving. What am I meant to do with a tray of food when there's nowhere left to sit? Alternatively, let anyone reserve a table before joining the queue, which would be fair to everyone.More

Nice food, but a staggeringly long wait for (very slow) counter service. Not much of a queue to be served - maybe six customers ahead of us - but over half an hour before it was our turn. No discernible reason for the delay -...several staff there, but not many serving food. Our orders were tasty enough, but the length of time taken would put me off a return visit which is a shame.More

Rainbows End is a lovely café serving delicious vegetarian and as far as I could see also some vegan food. It's rich in flavour and there's a good selection of both savoury and sweet. Oh and their lemonade is so good!
