Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The rudest staff we have ever encountered in a restaurant/cafe. Waited 45 mins for food, asked how much longer it would be and got a torrent of abuse "go to the pasty shop next time, you'll get it straight away" well thank you, yes we...will, because you will never get our custom again. All we did was ask, as we had been told 15 mins prior it was "coming now" and the guy went mad, shouting at us, saying its a saturday, yes, cheers, we do know what day it is, and that the waiter was new and the person cooking was new, none of which is any excuse for verbal aggression towards customers. AVOID!More

As day visitors we settled on this establishment for brunch. Service was good as was the food and coffee. Furniture in keeping with the decor but not very comfortable. Well positioned for exploring the town.

Great food in a very friendly atmosphere. This place represents the relaxed spirit from Glastonbury. It's a must visit, no doubts.

Love this place. It doesn't scream anything as you approach or walk in, yet we keep going back as the food is great. The menu is extensive and the food is always hot, well presented and yummy.

If you like rude, obnoxious and nasty table service, this is your place. Had a horrible experience like so many others at this cafe. I asked for a dog sausage and it arrived on a plate which I understandably gave to my dog. I was...told by the owner Sam that I was out of order. This is the pits of customer service, he has no idea how to treat people with respect. I told him his customer service was lacking and he reacted with anger saying how good he was because the cafe had been there 16 years. He then went on to ban me from the cafe as I was leaving. Sam is known for his obnoxious behaviour in Glastonbury. He makes Basil Faulty seem like an angel. If you crave abuse, this is your place! One star seems too generous.More

Visited twice while staying here, the quality of the food was good, but the service …. variable. On my second visit, I got served quickly but I noticed a total of three people walk out because they had not been served. I’ll visit again when...I’m the area again, perhaps by then there might be a wee bit more embedment with customers, not busy chatting. Put me off visiting a third time tbhMore

We visited in April and the food was amazing and service great ! However today although the food was still ok the service was appalling! The chap working there ignored us even when directly spoken to , acted like we were an inconvenience and the...atmosphere was very different from last night . What an absolute shame . We won’t be back sadly , rudeness beyond belief 😞More

I love visiting the Lazy Gecko Café for breakfast as I love their eggs benedict. But really, everything there is delicious. :) Loved the healthy smoothies as well. It's a very lovely place, also displaying (and selling) local arts and crafts and the garden seating...area at the back is very nice as well.More

Doesn’t look much from the outside and could put some people off visiting, but, very nice inside with comfortable seating, calming music and fantastic food. Dropped in twice whilst we were visiting Glastonbury. Ate inside on our first visit and on our second visit we...ate in the garden at the rear. Really nice food and pleasant staff.More
