If you are looking for a decent curry in the Wells area - as another reviewer has suggested - try the Riverside Restaurant on the Wells / Glastonbury road. As a local, this is my favourite place to get a decent curry.

Posters indicate it will reopen as a Thai restaurant but no date specified. We passed by June 12. Alternatives for good curry in Wells area would be the Riverside on the Glastonbury road and the Cheddar Cottage in Cheddar.

We ate here unexpectedly as we weren't sure what we wanted. We didn't know there was such a good curry restaurant in the heart of Wells and we were very pleasantly surprised. The food was first rate and the service very efficient. Prices were very reasonable too, overall a very satisfactory visit. Will gladly return when next in Wells.

Funny but not funny. 4 of us on a night out for a curry. 4 pints of Bangla please - sorry we have no draught beer; OK, 4 bottles of Cobra beer please - sorry we have no bottles of beer, you can have cider or I have some small bottles of Kingfisher; we have sold out of most beer... More

One of those nights when the "service" was so bad you just had to laugh really. We had spilt pints, dodgy Coca Cola, a seriously long wait for our order to be taken, an even longer wait for our beverages to arrive and just a general lack of a clue. Took an age for the pint that went on the... More

I was very impressed with this place. Friendly staff and more importantly, absolutely delicious food, with a range available for those who don't like it spicy. The tikka lamb was particularly delicious and the nan bread was better than any I've tasted before.

My wife and I both loved our meal here. I had king prawns with Keema and pasta. Totally new combination and an awesome flavour. Very good service

Went here on a Saturday night. Expected it to be full but only 3 tables occupied at peak time. Service was average - quite slow especially considering how quiet it was. However, when the food came it was delicious. I had the Madras which was cooked beautifully, and the rice, sides and poppadums were all fresh and tasty. Couldn't fault... More

Had Sunday lunch here, we were the only customers, and yet the food was freshly prepared, fresh ingredients and tasty. We had the offer, the choice was excellent, copious amounts with good service. With two vegans and a child in our party, the food satisfied all appetites.

Thank John H
