I have visited this place on many occasions and constantly find myself wondering in whenever visiting Lichfield. I first popped in just for a nice cup of tea but found myself ordering a pie and am glad I did. The pies here are amazing! Full to bursting with quality ingredients, once you've had one your hooked. I took my girlfriend... More

Had lunch here and it's a lovely little place. Oak panels inside, wooden floors. Good menu with plenty of choice. Great cakes which look home made. Not over priced either. Gets very busy at weekends and lunch time

This was our first time here and I was very interested to try it given its recent mixed reviews. We were not disappointed. The black and white timber framed building has an authentic historic atmosphere and adds excellent heritage value to the town centre. We enjoyed the interior too - with its impressive woodwork and historic artefacts. It certainly felt... More

Have been here a number of times for tea and cakes but decided to have lunch here a couple of times over the last few weeks . Food was ok but could have been better with a couple of small touches . For example the chips with our meals were dry and a bit tasteless , the ham on my... More

I was keen to make a second visit to this restaurant before giving a review so that a better impression could be gained. Glad I waited. The second visit presented a quieter ambience with attentive staff being on hand. Seating was easily available but the overall atmosphere does fade the further back the tables are. A good range of historic... More

On a busy Saturday afternoon in Lichfield we chose The Tudor for the premises, I like historical venues and this is just that. Encouraged by the volume of people in there we ordered our meal, homemade steak & kidney pie with chips, I had salad and my other half had vegetables. When it arrived I had to send mine back... Pot of tea was only filled to provide 1 cup of tea...it was so weak it looked like water. Asked the waitress to make it a bit stronger so it then came back cooler and very ,very strong. Coffee dreadful too. Teacake o.k. Wont be going again.

We have had lunch here quite a few times and always enjoyed the food. Today I thought the food was below their usual standard, I don't know whether they have changed chef. The chips were dry and hard, my wife ordered a mushroom omelette with a salad, when the omelette arrived it looked like a giant meringue filling the whole... More
