Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stopped on our barge trip for lunch. 3 little kids, a dog and 4 adults. They were true to their words on their website: "relaxing and friendly atmosphere. We pride ourselves on good service, great beer, freshly cooked food and a warm welcome." We...felt so welcome, accommodated, fresh food and relaxed. It was great and took the pressure out of going out with the kids. So thank-you, very much!More

Arrived here by canal boat. Sign outside said food 12onwards. Tied up and went in. They told us they had run out of food at 1.30 lunchtime on a Saturday…. We went hungry…. Poor show by a laze chef…. Couldn’t be bothered to feed four...of us…. Don’t go for food as they may have run out…. Zero stars for landlady and chef…More

Visited this lovely riverside pub on two occasions during our x4 day canal break. The kitchen was closed on both occasions. The chef was ill, so hopefully the chef has recovered. Also, no wifi in the garden area. While these items are minor (The pub...is beautiful) two starving teenagers with mobile phones is an easy fix if the facilities are available. We will return to sometime to see if our review should be changed. Otherwise the staff are lovely and pub is beautiful.More

Everywhere looked nice and clean especially the toilets, we both had the steak which was very nice indeed and plenty of it. in fact they were kind enough to offer the wife a doggy bag as she couldn't quit clear her plate. I indulged my...self and followed with the apple pie and custard which was excellent really home made with fresh apples and lashing of custard. Very pleasant service and reasonably priced. We shall look forward to returning again.More

Rude staff who were very unwelcoming who had a rant about all the people who were waiting on food and that we would have to wait because more were on their way. Staff who had no idea if they had a baby chair and told...to queue up at busy bar to ask. We rapidly departed and will never returnMore

The Navigation inn is a charming and inviting establishment situated right along the picturesque canal. As soon as you step inside, you're greeted by friendly staff and the warm and cozy atmosphere. The pub's menu is extensive, with something for everyone. You're sure to find...something that tickles your taste buds. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous, making it a great spot for a casual lunch or a more formal dinner. The drink selection is also impressive, with a wide variety of beers, wines, and spirits on offer. For anyone looking for good food, good drinks, and a great atmosphere in a canal-side location. Highly recommended!More
