We booked as a group of 16 and were provided with a lovely quiet area. We ate from the very good value for money Christmas menu. 19.95 for three courses plus coffee and mini mince pie. Service was excellent and the food brilliant, easily the best food in town (in my opinion!)

Went to diner with daughter and son in law. The Swan was a real find. As two of us are coeliacs finding somewhere that caters to us all is difficult. Why should we be penalised for an autoimmune disease we can't help. Anyway we like good food and the swan catered to all our tastes excellently. The staff were brilliant... More

The Swan is located in the high street of Stafford. Ideal to sit back and relax whilst getting your breath back when shopping. The food is good and quickly served .Great coffee and cakes. The main menu is fairly comprehensive with something to suit most. Reasonable prices. Professional services.

We travelled for the tempured crab - not on . Ohh !we were told the people didn't like the legs sticking out !!... More

Thank you for your recent review. I am disappointed that you found the food bland. We do change our menus seasonally so certain dishes do get removed. I am sorry that the tempura crab was not on on the day your visited. I have passed your comments on to Chef and thank you for your valued feedback. More

This is an old coaching inn with a fabulous atmosphere and great in winter - woodburner and comfy leather sofas, or in summer- lovely eating space outside. I went for lunch with a friend for lunch recently and chose the beef sandwich on granary bread. The beef was medium rare, so perfectly cooked for me and was not chilled so... More

Nice place much bigger than it looks. Also a small car-park in the back so parking is free. Nice menu and good service and a lovely atmosphere its a place I like to pop into when I visit my sister as she lives in Stafford.

Family lunch for a 70th lunch. Very well looked after. Children especially. Portion size for them was huge and did a kids roast for us that wasn't on the menu. Decent value set meal on a Sunday was pretty good. Guests were a combination of tourists and what I would describe as "London weekenders" Nice village and the trout farm... More

Popped in here for some lunch on a Saturday afternoon whilst wandering around Stafford. I had previously been here before but not had food. When we arrived we were not greeted but this wasn't a problem, we soon found someone who found us a table. This kind waitress was very pleasant throughout our time here, offering us tap water on...
