Mark the chef has moved on and so there is now no food available. So now it's just a bar. This is a real shame because it has the capability to be a thriving local with good restaurant offerings. Time will tell if another chef...More

After the service on Christmas eve praying and stuff, everyone goes to the red lion. It is a great place to socialize, with most people in the village. At the heart of the village, it brings everyone together. The birds at the bar are fit...More

Been a few times. Staff are friendly, food is good. Pub is small but historical. While there, there was entertainment.

Popped in for a drink with friend and treated to some very nice real ale. Bar staff and fellow patrons very friendly. "Free" roast potatoes on bar were a throwback to my youth but very tasty nonetheless.

A beautiful location for a quiet country pub. Just off the main Uttoxeter road by a beautiful church. Views of fields all round. Had Sunday lunch today, my husband had Lamb shank and I had beef, generous portions and well cooked, the lamb smelled delicious!...More

Things are changing with an experienced chef starting next week and a thorough spring clean in the pub restaurant and kitchen completed. Beer is back to top form and this proper village pub is returning to its rightful place in the community.
