Queued for a very long time to be served which wasn't their fault. Very let down by the medium cod. Was very small and ALL batter. Would say smaller than a small cod in most chip shops. Hardly any fish at all and what there was had bones in.

Ate here 5 nights out of 7 on a christmas stay, i know terrible. Each day we would say " lets have something different tomorrow" But after a long walk on the beach that smell is like the old bisto gravy ads it just weaves in and out of the streets and draws uou back in and we were never... More

Please get another supplier. Cod more bones than flesh. Being a local I am not fooled like the tourists into thinking the fish is fresh and caught locally......but I do expect a Fillet to actually be filleted.

We had expected much as this was a sister place of the fish and chip shop where you have to queue - but unfortunately that was closed for the night. We were a little disappointed when we got our meals home, the cod was extremely boney, and my haddock very dry and quite tastless. Chips could have been cooked a... More

Nice refurbishments though not Shure how appropriate the new floor covering is .the word "Negroland " printed on it does stand out still in a post brexit and trump world this kind of thing may make a comeback. FOOD EXCELENT

Lovely fresh fish and chips, really tasty and probably the best in the UK. Highly recommended as always exceedingly good.

Sister takeaway of the Aldeburgh Fish and Chip shop, but it was not as good. The Cod was very small and full of bones, tasted fine but the filleting do not seem to have been done very well. The Golden Galleon is open different evenings to the Aldeburgh Fish and Chip shop, I would recommend choosing an evening for the... More

It has been a while since I visited this place and the food has improved. The batter is now great and the chips cooked perfectly. My only gripe is the fish itself. It was tiny and dry. The piece of haddock I was served was mostly batter on skin and dried thin fish. There was no fleshy piece in it.... More
