We have used this restaurant a lot - always for a relaxed meal before a film. However, on this visit we discovered that there is a new chef and the menu had totally changed; in our view, not for the better. We both had one...of the 'specials': a linguine dish with king prawn and chorizo. Very few prawns, far too much chorizo, and pretty low quality chorizo at that, with a watery sauce. Frankly, we were not impressed We then had what was billed as a rhubarb fool. It was nothing of the kind, something closer to a trifle, but not that close. Don't actually know what to call it; I do know it had aerosol cream topping. It's a shame, because we have, hitherto, always looked forward to our pre-film meals there; we might, I'm afraid, be looking to some of the many alternatives in Bury St Edmunds in future. But I'm sure we'll give it one more chance.More

We had only eaten here a couple of times in the past as we would struggle to find something on the menu to suit everyone. Last month we met up with friends for a meal before watching a film and there was a new menu...to try. Wow, what a difference. Lots of choice, specials and something for everyone. The food was outstanding. We have been back since and will be a regular. Highly recommend the Hanging Brochettes (Sticky Honey, Rum & BBQ Pork) and for pudding the Hot Chocolate soup.More

New year bank holiday - everywhere seemed full. We walked past the window of the cinema looking for somewhere to eat lunch. No.4 had a table for 2. The menu gave us a huge choice and when the food was delivered it far exceeded our...expectations. We will DEFINITELY be back :) Loved it.More

We arrived a bit early for our table but it was ready and we were warmly welcomed. Our orders were taken quickly and the food arrived in a timely manner. The food was delicious and we asked for our compliments to be sent to the...kitchen. We had the nacho and cheese dip starter, followed by the falafel burger and the No 4 beefburger bun-free option. We followed up with ice cream. The service was excellent with very friendly staff. We will definitely be visiting again soon!More

First return to our regular restaurant following lockdown, as good as ever if not better. All the staff were friendly, attentive and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The food was really good for a light snack or something more substantial. The burgers are most...definitely gourmet. What a great venue to have something to eat and drink before or following a film. I would thoroughly recommend.More

The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, comfortable seating areas. Very friendly and attentive staff and service. Wide variety and choice of dishes available, something for everyone. The food was delicious. I had chicken chasseur and my sister had the jambalaya rice bowl which both tasted...absolutely amazing. We then couldn’t resist a slice of their delicious homemade Victoria sponge. We loved our lunch time experience and can’t wait to go again. We certainly couldn’t fault anything about our time at No 4, a great film followed by such an enjoyable lunch.More

Hiya, really sorry. I've only just noticed this question. We do indeed do a vegetarian option on our 'create your own' burger menu. It's a lovely homemade Falafel. We also do a number of vegetarian options on our normal menu... More
