With so much choice in this town built around a brewery every pub has a challenge. This one has gone down the comfy and cosy line. I'm all for a big lazy chair and a nice beer which this place does very well. Does what it says, a pint in the snug is a good pint. Doesn't fell like a... More

Made reservations online through their site. Started with some delicious bread and olives then had the Roast Turkey dinner. Ended with a simple ice cream and donuts dessert. Everything was absolutely perfect. One of my many times eating at The Bushel and each and every time the service and food have been wonderful.

Had a long weekend in bury and stayed Friday and Saturday nights with breakfast. Pub / hotel very modern with character and nice features. Big sofas went down well after eating on the Friday evening and made it difficult to wander back to the room. Breakfast was excellent both mornings with plenty of selection on the cooked menu and usual... More

I'm a guest here and had dinner and breakfast. Some of the best food I've ever had, and even though I get breakfast included, I'd eat here anyway!

We stayed for two nights and found the room (we had one in the courtyard) very comfortable. The rainshower was wonderful. The heated towel rail meant our towels dried quickly. the hotel was ideally located to walk round Bury St Edmonds. Breakfasts were cooked to order and cereals were help yourself from the buffet. We had the Sunday lunch here... More

Following a weekend in Woodbridge, we thought we would drop into Bury St Edmunds for some lunch on our way home. We were pleasantly surprised when we found this pub. The food menu is pretty varied and the overall atmosphere was nice and chilled with plenty of room. Great place for lunch, dinner or a drink or two. Also very... More

This Green King pub has got a pleasant atmosphere and the staff are pleasant and friendly. The main impression I got was that this pub tries to be both a pub and an eatery, but doesn't do either very convincingly. The pub is quite relaxed and cosy. Although it attempts to come across as individual with some nice touches the... More

Stayed for one night B & B, with my wife. The pub was very well managed and had a number of real ales on tap. Good little restaurant serving a good selection of food. We had Fish & Chips, with minty mushy peas. It was O.K. It was a delight to be able to sit outside, with a pre dinner... More

Good range of drinks, Greene King beers on draught, food was below average and chicken caesar salad was more like caesar dressing soup with some burnt chicken cooked on a dirty chargrill thrown on top of little gem lettuce.. and some old croutons. service was excellent but the food let it down.
